Learning outcomes
Conoscenze

Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito conoscenze in merito a:

  • eziologia, fisiopatologia ed approccio clinico alle principali insufficienze d'organo con particolare riferimento al danno renale, insufficienza respiratoria ed insufficienza epatica
  • approccio al paziente traumatizzato con particolare riferimento al politrauma, trauma maggiore, trauma cranio-facciale, le ustioni, le conseguenze immediate e a lungo termine della ipertensione addominale ed i principali avvelenamenti ed intossicazioni
  • l'annegamento
  • approccio al paziente in stato di shock con particolare riferimento alla ottimizzazione del trasporto di Ossigeno ed alla fluido-terapia
  • clinica ed approccio al paziente emorragico con particolare riferimento all'appropriatezza trasfusionale
  • gestione delle vie aeree e delle manovre di prima rianimazione cardio-polmonare
  • approccio al malato con morte cerebrale e candidato alla donazione d'organo
  • epidemiologia, fisiopatologia e note di trattamento della sepsi, sepsi severa, shock settico
  • modalità, tipologie ed impiego del monitoraggio emodinamico
  • modalità del triage infermieristico
  • i percorsi dell'emergenza territoriale
  • caratteristiche generali e peculiarità delle Unità di Terapia Intensiva
  • prevenzione di CLABSI e VAP
  • strategie di isolamento del paziente con infezione MDR

 
Knowledge

Anesthesiology/Critical care module

  • etiology, pathophysiology and clinical approach to the main organ insufficiencies with particular reference to renal, hepatic and respiratory failure
  • cliical approach to the traumatized patient
  • severe trauma and polytrauma
  • cranial and facial trauma, burns
  • immediate and long-term consequences of abdominal hypertension and the main intoxications and poisonings
  • clinical approach to the patient in shock with particular reference to the optimization of oxygen transport and fluid therapy
  • clinical approach to the bleeding patient with particular reference to transfusions appropriateness. Patient Blood Management.
  • airway management
  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers
  • notes on the concept of death and organ donation
  • epidemiology, pathophysiology and treatment notes of sepsis, severe sepsis, septic shock
  • modalities, type and use of hemodynamic monitoring
  • general notes on anesthesiology and pre-operative evaluation

Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze saranno utilizzati test e/o incontri tra il docente e il gruppo di studenti

For the assessment of knowledge, tests and / or meetings between teachers and groups of students and final exam will be used

Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito gli strumenti teorici e critici per un approccio cosciente ed informato  alle insufficienze d'organo nonchè dei principali eventi e quadri clinici caratterizzanti il paziente critico ed in emergenza/urgenza
Skills

At the end of the course the student will have acquired the theoretical and critical tools for the diagnosis and management of organs failure as well as the main events and clinical pictures characterizing the critical and emergency / urgent patient

Le capacità saranno verificate attraverso la discussione di casi clinici che verranno affrontati attraverso la metodica del problem solving

skills will be verified through the discussion of clinical cases that will be addressed according to the problem solving method

Attraverso il corso lo studente otterrà gli strumeti per poter essere in grado di affrontare in maniera cosciente e critica i principali eventi caratterizzanti la malattia critica

L'acquisizione dei comportamenti verrà verificata attraverso la discussione di casi clinici che verranno affrontati attraverso la metodica del problem solving

Prerequisiti (conoscenze iniziali)

E' da considerarsi come prerequisito la conoscenza dei principali meccanismi di base e dell'evoluzione delle patologie mediche e chirurgiche
Prerequisites

Knowledge of the basic pathophysiological mechanisms and of the evolution of medical and surgical pathologies, as well as the fundamental principles of pharmacology must be considered as a prerequisite.

Teaching methods

lectures are delivered in frontal mode with the aid of slides and videos also taking advantage of co-experts in the assigned subject

interaction between students and teachers is based on classroom discussions and the use of electronic mail. Teacher encourages (by appointment) meetings with small groups of students for further information and / or clarifications on the topics included in the study program
