Il modulo Introduction to Philosophical Thought ha l'obiettivo di fornire un'infarinatura storica e sistematica del pensiero filosofico occidentale. Gli studenti e le studentesse potranno familiarizzare con i concetti di base e con alcuni degliv autori divenuti classici per la disciplina
The module in Introduction to Philosophical Thought aims at giving a historical and systematic outline of the Western philosophical thought. In this module students will become familiar with some of the basic concepts and authors which have become classics for the discipline
I progressi e le acquisizioni delle consocneze saranno monitorati sulla base della partecipazione attiva, la valutazione della relazione scritta da presentare prima dell'esame orale nelle modalità stabilite e l'esame orale finale
Academic progress will be monitored and verified from the written paper at the beginning of each exam session
Gli studenti e le studentesse prenderanno confidenza con il linguaggio filosofico e raggiungeranno un livello di base per orientarsi nella storia della filosofia europea.
Students will become familiar to philosophical language and will be able to achieve a basic and general acknowledgment of the main issues in European history of philosophy.
Il voto finale si baserà su:
- qualità della frequenza, itneresse e partecipazione attiva alle lezioni
- test scritto finale (o paper finale da presentare prima dell'esame orale)
- esame orale (nelle sessioni stabilite)
The final mark will be based on:
- the quality of your attendance, interest and participation
- final written test (usually the final day course)
- oral exam (sessions to be chosen)

Active discussions during the lectures will be especially appreciated.

After an introductory presentation (with power point, pictures, or aphoristic texts) a specific reading will be offered to the collective analysis and comments. The pedagogic goal is to get students to be introduced to the philosophical discussion a lively, but logical constructed dialogue.
L'introduzione allo studio della filosofia passa per la comprensione dei suoi concetti classici. Il corso verterà sull'analisi di due testi brevi, uno di Platone e uno di Nietzsche, particolarmente significativi per illustrare il senso filosofico del concetto di verità, forse il più centrale nella storia della filosofia.L'introduzione allo studio della filosofia passa per la comprensione dei suoi concetti classici.
The module in Introduction to Philosophy will focus on the anlysis of two texts, one is a Plato's text and the other is a Nietzsche's text, which are particularly significant to describe the concept of truth, a central concept in the history of philosophy.
Per gli aspetti specifici che verranno affrontati nel corso, saranno fornite presentazioni a compendio e preparazione di base per il test scritto (o paper) e l'esame orale.
