Lo studente acquisirà una conoscenza dell'evoluzione delle forme poetiche elaborate in Francia tra la fine del XIX e la prima metà del XX secolo.
The student will gain an understanding of the evolution of literary forms elaborated in France in the late 19th and first half of the 20th century.
Saranno organizzati dei seminari e dei momenti di discussione collettiva intorno agli argomenti trattati.
Seminars and collective discussions around the topics covered will be organized during the course.
Lo studente svilupperà capacità di analisi di testi complessi dal punto di vista stilistico, storico e ideologico.
The student will develop skills in the analysis of stylistically, historically and ideologically complex texts.
Durante il corso gli studenti esporranno delle analisi dei testi in programma. I lavori presentati saranno considerati prove in itinere.
During the course, students will exhibit analyses of the program texts. Submitted work will be considered as in-progress evidence.
Lo studente saprà individuare una problematica, condurre un'indagine, elaborare le informazioni e sviluppare un'analisi critica.
The student will be able to identify an issue, conduct an investigation, process information, and develop a critical analysis.
Gli studenti presenteranno la sintesi critica di uno dei saggi indicati nella bibliografia. I lavori presentati saranno considerati prove in itinere.
Students will present a summary of one of the essays listed in the bibliography. Submitted work will be considered as in-progress evidence.
Conoscenza generale dei grandi fenomeni storici, artistici e culturali che hanno caratterizzano il mondo francese. Buona conoscenza della lingua francese scritta e orale.
General knowledge of the major historical, artistic and cultural phenomena that have characterized the French world. Good knowledge of written and oral French.

It is necessary to attend lectureships and French language classes
Le lezioni si svolgeranno in francese e saranno in parte frontali e in parte siminariali con interventi di specialisti esterni (docenti, dottorandi, specialisti).
Gli studenti presenteranno obbligatoriamente la sintesi di uno dei saggi in programma, l'analisi stilistica con commento di uno dei testi poetici in programma. I risultati saranno considerati prove in itinere.
I testi oggetto di puntuali analisi svolte durante il corso saranno caricati su Moodle.
The lectures will be held in French and will be partly frontal and partly siminar with interventions by external specialists (lecturers, PhD students, specialists).
Students will present a synthesis of one of the essays in the programme and a stylistic analysis with commentary of one of the poetic texts in the programme. The results will be considered as in itinere evidence.
The texts subject to punctual analysis carried out during the course will be uploaded onto Moodle.
Da Mallarmé alle avanguardie
Il corso illustra la rivoluzione del linguaggio poetico iniziata da Stéphane Mallarmé sviluppata in epoca modernista e spinta poi agli estremi dalla corrente surrealista. Si indagherà il concetto di modernità per comprendere a partire da esso le derivazioni che segnano il modernismo e le avanguardie.
From Mallarmé to the avant-garde.
This course illustrates the revolution in poetic language initiated by Stéphane Mallarmé developed in the modernist era and then pushed to extremes by the surrealist current. The concept of modernity will be investigated in order to understand from it the derivations that mark modernism and the avant-garde.

Non-attending students will cover the entire syllabus and add an essay to the bibliography to be agreed with the professor during an interview.
L'esame è orale, si svolge in francese e tiene conto dei lavori in itinere presentati.
The oral examination is conducted in French and considers the submitted coursework.
Gli studenti si presenteranno all'esame con tutti i testi in originale.
