Si affronteranno temi e autori e problematiche filologiche relative alla produzione lirica galego-portoghese del sec. XIII e alle Cantigas de Santa Maria di Alfonso X di Castiglia.
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of old French narrative texts. He or she will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of grammar of old French and will have demonstrated the ability to define a philological and linguistic problem.
Esame orale alla fine del corso.
Il corso da 6 CFU avrà termine con la fine del primo semestre (dicembre 2017).
Chi intendesse sostenere l'esame da 12 CFU, deve estendere la frequenza anche al secondo semestre.
During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. The student must demonstrate the ability to approach a circumscribed research problem, and organise an effective exposition of the results.

Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito un quadro dei fondamentali aspetti legati alla lirica galego-portoghese del sec. XIII con particolare riferimento alla figura di Alfonso X di Castiglia.
Lo studente dovrà dimostrare di possedere gli elementi e le nozioni acquisiti durante il corso attraverso soprattutto la lettura e il commento filologico-linguistico dei testi.
Lo studente potrà ampliare i propri orizzonti di conoscenza della lirica galega medievale attraverso gli strumenti adeguati (edizioni, dizionari ecc.).
Durante il colloquio di esame si verificheranno le maturate capacità di riflessione ed elaborazione dati da parte dello studente.

Le "Cantigas de Santa Maria" di Alfonso X di Castiglia e la lirica galego-portoghese.
The course provides general informations about old French narrative texts ('lais' of Marie de France and 'lais' anonymes; breton and realistic 'romans'). Specifically, will be treated some thematic related to "l'homme entre deux femmes", which with peculiar variations affecting two lais of Marie de France, Eliduc and Fresne, highlighting their relationships with the novels 'Galeran de Bretagne' of Renaut and 'Ille et Galeron' of Gautier d'Arras. A great part of the course will be dedicated to the reading and translation of some 'lais' and 'romans' with historical, textual, literary and linguistic notes. It is planned to organize seminars related to the course ('realist' and 'idyllic' narrative, love and marriage in the courtly narrative, disguise and 'jongleresse').
