Ottenere conoscenze nell'ambito dell'etica dei media. Il corso intende offrire una definizione di media e mass media partendo dalla teoria di Walter Benjamin (in specie in riferimento alla riproducibilità tecnica dell'immagine, alla stampa, alla radio, al teatro fino al cinema) fino ad arrivare al ruolo della rete nella attuale società dell'informazione e della comunicazione.
Get knowledge in media ethics. The course intends to offer a definition of media and mass media starting from Walter Benjamin's theory (especially with reference to the technical reproducibility of the image, printing, radio, theater and cinema) up to the role of the network in the current information and communication society.

Lo studente sarà messo in grado di analizzare, affrontare e gestire problemi morali e dilemmi in ambito etico applicati nei principali media.
The student will be able to analyze, face and manage moral problems and ethical dilemmas applied in the main media.

Lo studente potrà acquisire un'attitudine critica nei confronti dei propri comportamenti e delle proprie scelte morali in amito mediale.
The student will be able to acquire a critical attitude towards his / her own behaviors and moral choices regarding media.

Conoscenze di base di storia della filosofia.

La prima parte del corso sarà una introduzione alla comunicazione attraverso mass media secondo i principali modelli di riferimento, appuntando l’attenzione sull’analisi dei presupposti e risvolti etici dei principali media, in particolare, carta stampata, audiovisivo, immagine, teatro, internet. La seconda parte sarà incentrata sulle implicanze etiche legate alla rete più in generale, con particolare riferimento alla libertà d'espressione, all'hate speech e alle fake news.
The first part of the course will be an introduction to communication through mass media according to the main reference models, focusing attention on the analysis of the ethical assumptions and implications of the main media, in particular, journalism, audiovisual, image, and internet. The second part will focus on the ethical implications of the web in general, with particular reference to freedom of expression, hate speech and fake news.

L'esame sarà orale. Lo studente sarà chiamato a rispondere a domande sul programma di esame da parte del docente ed eventualmente da parte di altri membri della commissione di esame. L'esame non risulterà superato se lo studente dimostrerà nel corso del colloquio, non rispondendo alle domande o rispondendo alle domande in maniera incompleta, di non avere studiato a sufficienza, o di non avere studiato affatto.
The exam will be oral. The student will be asked to answer questions on the exam program by the teacher and possibly by
part of other members of the examination board.
The exam will not be passed if the student demonstrates during the interview, not answering the questions or answering the questions in
incompletely, of not having studied sufficiently, or of not having studied at all.
