Lo studente/la studentessa acquisirà competenze specifiche riguardanti i principali esami di laboratorio utili nel paziente con cardiopatia.
The student will acquire specific skills regarding the main laboratory tests useful in patients with heart disease.

Alla fine del Tirocinio lo studente/la studentessa sarà in grado di orientarsi nei referti dei principali esami di laboratorio tipicamente richiesti nel paziente con cardiopatia, conoscendone i cut-off più importanti e le inter-relazioni fra loro.
At the end of the internship the student will be able to understand the reports of the main laboratory tests typically required in patients with heart disease, knowing the most important cut-offs and the inter-relationships between them.

Alla fine del Tirocinio lo studente/la studentessa sarà in grado di interpretare e dedurre informazioni cliniche rilevanti dai principali esami di laboratorio tipicamente richiesti nel paziente con cardiopatia, con particolare attenzione alle possibili inter-relazioni fra loro.
At the end of the internship the student will be able to interpret and deduce relevant clinical information from the main laboratory tests typically required in patients with heart disease, with particular attention to the possible inter-relationships between them.

Conoscenze di base di anatomia e fisiologia cardiovascolare e dei principali organi e apparati.
Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology and of the main organs and systems.
- Profilo lipidico completo: valori di riferimento in base alle diverse categorie di rischio cardiovascolare.
- Marcatori di funzionalità epatica: possibili effetti collaterali della terapia ipolipemizzante.
- Marcatori della coagulazione: ruolo nel monitoraggio della terapia anticoagulante.
- Enzimi di miocardiocitolisi: cinetica e significato clinico nelle cardiopatie acute e croniche.
- Peptidi natriuretici: ruolo nella diagnosi, monitoraggio e prognosi dello scompenso cardiaco.
- D-dimero: valore predittivo negativo nella diagnosi di embolia polmonare e dissezione aortica.
- Complete lipid profile: reference values based on the different cardiovascular risk categories.
- Markers of liver function: possible side effects of lipid-lowering therapy.
- Coagulation markers: role in monitoring anticoagulant therapy.
- Myocardiocytolysis enzymes: kinetics and clinical significance in acute and chronic heart disease.
- Natriuretic peptides: role in the diagnosis, monitoring and prognosis of acute and chronic heart failure.
