Il corso trasmette conoscenze teoriche di linguistica e stilistica testuale, utili a delineare il profilo di stile del T1 in ottica traduttologica.
Obiettivo del corso è la trasmissione di strumenti utili a riconoscere fenomeni che integrano la dimensione letteraria, semiotica, metaforica e simbolica della produzione linguistica, nonché idonei alla riflessione critica e all’esercizio di produzione di testi ben formati in L1, L2 e nel passaggio interlinguistico, conformemente agli obiettivi del progetto CECIL.
Gli studenti del curriculum linguistico approfondiranno le conoscenze teoriche con un modulo dedicato.
Gli studenti del curriculum traduttivo approfondiranno conoscenze e competenze traduttive con la frequenza del laboratorio di traduzione della Dr. Anna Gerratana
The course conveys theoretical knowledge of linguistics and textual stylistics, useful for outlining the style profile of T1 from the perspective of the translation studies.
The aim of the course is the transmission of useful tools for recognising phenomena integrating the literary, semiotic, metaphorical and symbolic dimensions of language production, as well as suitable means for critical reflection and the exercise of producing well-formed texts in L1, L2 and in the interlingual passage, in accordance with the objectives of the CECIL project.
Students of the linguistics curriculum will deepen their theoretical knowledge with a dedicated module.
Students of the translation curriculum will deepen their knowledge and translation skills by attending the translation laboratory of Dr. Anna Gerratana.
Le conoscenze sono verificate nel corso del semestre durante l'attività seminariale e con prove in itinere (domande teoriche e analisi di testi).
Durante il semestre saranno proposte prove modulari scritte in itinere, sostitutive dell’esame finale.
L’accesso all’esame prevede attestato di partecipazione e superamento delle prove relative dei lettorati di livello magistrale (C1: I anno; C1+: II anno) e, per gli studenti di traduzione, della prova di traduzione.
The theoretical content of the course is tested during the semester during the seminar and with ongoing tests (theoretical questions and text analysis).
During the semester, modular written tests in itinere will be proposed, replacing the final exam.
Access to the examination requires a certificate of attendance and passing the relevant tests of the master's level lectures (C1: 1st year; C1+: 2nd year) and, for translation students, the translation test.
La riflessione sulle strutture linguistiche e il loro funzionamento garantirà l'affinamento di competenze linguistiche, critiche ed ermeneutiche.
Reflection on linguistic structures and their functioning will guarantee the refinement of linguistic, critical and hermeneutic skills.
Le capacità saranno verificate mediante analisi di testi e discussione dei fenomeni rilevati.
Skills will be verified through text analysis and discussion of the detected phenomena
La studentessa/lo studente sarà in grado di orientarsi nella lettura e interpretazione di testi e di fenomeni comunicativi del tedesco nei diversi stili sintattici.
students will be able to orient themselves in the reading and interpretation of German texts and communicative phenomena in the different syntactic styles.
I comportamenti saranno verificati mediante analisi di testi e discussione dei fenomeni rilevati.
Behaviors will be verified through text analysis and discussion of the detected phenomena.
Le quattro competenze strumentali (comprensione e produzione scritta e orale) di livello C1/C1+ del Quadro Comune Europeo di riferimento per le lingue straniere (= QCER) sono considerate prerequisito e/o obiettivo complementare del corso.

The four language skills (written and oral comprehension and production) of level C1/C1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (= CEFR) are considered a prerequisite and/or complementary objective of the course.

Il corso analizza esempi concreti di diverse tipologie testuali e le loro traduzioni (incluse auto-traduzioni d’autore), includendo – laddove possibile – testi in programma nel corso di letteratura tedesca. Focus dell’attenzione sono strutture distintive dei testi poetici (mezzi di poeticità) e delle forme comiche (mezzi di comicità). In conformità con gli obiettivi del progetto di eccellenza CECIL, il corso si svolge in una modalità seminariale che coniuga la trasmissione di contenuti teorici con l’analisi applicata e generalizzazione dei risultati.
Lingue veicolari del corso sono tedesco e italiano.
The course takes into consideration examples of different text types and their translations (including author's self-translations), including, - if possible - texts which are also present in the syllabus of the course of German literature. The focus is on the specific structures of poetic texts (grammar means of poeticity) and comic forms (grammar means of comicity). In accordance with the objectives of the CECIL project of excellence, the course is conducted in a seminar mode that combines the transmission of theoretical content with the applied analysis and generalisation of results.

Il corso è strutturato in tre moduli di 3 CFU ciascuno:
1) Lo stile del testo, stilemi grammaticali e sistema linguistico
2) Stilemi poetici e di comicità
3) Approfondimenti. Gli studenti del curriculum traduttivo sostituiscono il modulo 3 con la frequenza (e superamento delle prove relative) del laboratorio di traduzione.
The course is structured in three modules of 3 CFU each:
1) Text style; grammatical features of style (comparing different language systems)
2) Stylistic elements outlining poeticity and comicity
3) Insights in the course contents. Students of the translation curriculum replace module 3 with the attendance (and passing of the relative tests) in the translation laboratory.

I non frequentanti seguiranno la stessa modalità d'esame sopra descritta, sostenendo la prova di traduzione secondo il calendario proposto dalla titolare (Dr. Gerratana) e ottenendo la certificazione di livello linguistico corrispondente al grado di esame (Lingua ted. I: C1; Lingua ted. II: C1+).
Per quanto concerne la valutazione del corso, dovranno produrre una relazione (circa 10-15 pagine) da concordare con la titolare del corso (Prof. Foschi) almeno due mesi prima dell'appello d'esame.
Non-attending students will follow the same procedure for the exam described above, by taking the translation test according to the time-table set by Dr. Gerratana. They shall also obtain the linguistic level certification from the lecturers.
For the evaluation of the course, they shall produce a paper (10-15 pages circa) on a topic to be agreed with the course coordinator (Prof. Foschi) at least two months before the exam session.
Per accedere all'appello d'esame è necessario aver ottenuto risultati positivi nelle seguenti sedi:
- a) prove in itinere in presenza proposte durante i tre moduli del corso istituzionale (I semestre);
- b) studenti del curriculum di traduzione: prova finale al termine del laboratorio di traduzione (I e II semestre);
- c) lettorato dedicato (I anno: livello C1; II anno: C1+).
In sede di esame sarà calcolato il voto finale considerando la media ottenuta nelle prove in itinere e la valutazione della prova di traduzione con rapporto 2/3 = 1/3. Il risultato del lettorato può incidere sulla media finale ottenuta per +/- 10%.
L’iscrizione online all’esame è obbligatoria e vincolante per tutti.
In order to be admitted to the final exam students must provide proof of positive evaluation in the following parts:
a) on-going tests during the institutional course (first semester)
b) translation laboratory (first and second semester)
c) lectorate (level C1/C1+).
On the exam date, the final grade will be calculated considering the average obtained in the ongoing tests and the evaluation of the translation test with the ratio 2/3 = 1/3. The result of the language tests resulting in the certification of competence level (Lectorate) can affect the final average obtained by +/- 10%.
Online reservation for the registration of the final vote on the dates of the exam is mandatory.
