Il corso si propone di approfondire aspetti della lingua e della cultura egiziana antica attraverso la lettura e analisi di fonti testuali, letterarie o documentarie di media difficoltà, inserite nel loro contesto storico e culturale.
The course aims to explore aspects of ancient Egyptian language and culture through the reading and analysis of textual, literary or documentary sources of medium difficulty, placed in their historical and cultural context.
Seminari in classe durante il corso su lavoro assegnato preliminarmente a gruppi di studenti. Esame finale orale.
Ongoing assessment to monitor academic progress will be carried out in the form of seminars and group works in class. Final oral exam.
Saper tradurre, analizzare e commentare un testo egiziano antico nei suoi aspetti grafici, grammaticali e sintattici. Essere in grado di inserirlo nel contesto culturale di riferimento.
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to read, translate and analyze an ancient Egyptian text of middle difficulty, and put in its proper context.

A basic knowledge of Middle Egyptian and hieroglyphic writing is required.

Il corso, monografico, esaminerà uno o più gruppi coerenti di testi all'interno di un genere e periodo cronologico circoscritto. L'elenco dei testi e la relativa bibliografia saranno forniti prima dell'inizio del corso.
The course will examine one or more groups of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic texts within a given category and/or chronological period.

The list of texts and the relative bibliography will be provided before the beginning of the course.

Esame finale orale. L'esame consisterà nella lettura, traduzione e commento di passaggi dai testi trattati durante il corso, discutendone il contesto storico e culturale.
Final oral exam. It will consist of reading, translating and commenting passages from the texts object of the course and discussing their cultural and historical context.
