Lo studente acquisterà conoscenze multidisciplinari sulle corrette procedure e sui comuni strumenti impiegati per l'analisi del paesaggio, le osservazioni di affioramenti passando dalla base cartografica alla mesoscala e la raccolta di dati geologici sul terreno.
Al termine del corso lo studente sarà in grado di descrivere e commentare un affioramento con un approccio multidisciplinare.
The student will acquire multidisciplinary knowledge of the correct procedures and the common tools to be used for landscape analysis, map-to mesoscale outcrop observations and geological data collection in the field.
At the end of the course the student should be able to describe and comment an outcrop with a multidisciplinary approach.
Le conoscenze saranno verificate valutando i risultati dello studente nel raccogliere dati geologici sul terreno e nella loro organizzazione in un report scritto.
The assessment criteria will ascertain the acquisition by the student of the knowledges necessary to collect geological data in the field and to organize them in a written report.
Al termine del corso lo studente avrà le capacità per preparare un report utilizzando la terminologia scientifica corretta riguardo gli argomenti geologici trattati sul terreno.
At the end of the course: The student will be able to prepare a report using the scientific wording regarding all the geological topics treated in the field trip

Compilation of a report about the field activity
Lo studente sarà in grado di condividere le conoscenze apprese surante le attività sul campo. Lo studente sarà inoltre in grado di portare avanti attività in team-working e di esporre le osservazioni sul terreno.
The student will be able to share knowledge during the field activities. The student will be able to develop team-working activities and to draft a report focus on field observation.
La verifica dei comportamenti avverrà valutando i metodi acquisiti nel gestire dati geologici.
During field work the methods of management of the geological data will be evaluated.

- Riconoscimento delle principali morfologie della superficie terrestre e dei processi associati, dalla rappresentazione cartografica al paesaggio.
- Descrizione e classificazione dei principali tipi di rocce e delle strutture geologiche sul terreno.
- Recognition of the main morphologies and associated processes of the earth surface, from the map to the landscape.
- Description and classification of the main rock types and geological features in the field.

La frequenza al campo è obbligatoria. In caso di impossibilità a partecipare i docenti devono essere al più presto informati.
Attendance to the field activities is mandatory. In case of impossibility to attend the teachers must be informed as soon as possible.
