Lo studente avrà acquisito conoscenze riguardo alla nascita e evoluzione del teatro spagnolo dei Secoli d'Oro.
Sarà in grado di svolgere una analisi critica dei testi letterari in programma, nonché di commentare e tradurre frammenti di essi.
The student will acquire knowledge about the birth and evolution of the Spanish theatre in the Golden Centuries.
S/he will be able to carry out a critical analysis of the literary texts included in the programme as well as to comment and translate some extracts taken from them.
Nel corso dell'esame orale le domande saranno finalizzate a verificare le suddette conoscenze generali, nonché le competenze metodologiche.
During the oral examination the questions will be aimed at verifying the above general knowledge as well as the methodological skills.
Al termine del corso, lo studente saprà descrivere l'itinerario evolutivo del teatro spagnolo dei secoli d'oro , con particolare riferimento alla sua origine, alla sua definizione secondo i 'dettami' dell'"Arte nuevo de hacer comedias" di Lope de Vega, ai suoi esponenti più significativi e alla sua 'trasformazione' nel corso del 600. Sarà inoltre in grado di commentare e tradurre frammenti testuali tratti da opere primarie lette in lingua originale.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to describe the evolutionary itinerary of the Spanish theatre in the Golden Age, with particular reference to its
origin, its definition according to the 'dictates' of the "Art nuevo de hacer comedias" by Lope de Vega, its most significant exponents and its
'transformation' in the course of the 17th century. S/he will also be able to comment and translate textual fragments taken from primary works read in original language.

L'esame orale avverrà in lingua italiana sui testi in lingua originale, nelle edizioni consigliate, complete dei rispettivi studi introduttivi, nonché sulla storia teatrale del periodo oggetto del programma d'esame.
The oral examination will be in Italian and will be based on the analysis of texts in their original language, in its recommended editions, together with the respective introductory studies, as well ason the theatrical history of the period covered by the exam programme.
Le lezioni si svolgono nel I semestre.
Le lezioni saranno tenute in lingua italiana, leggendo i testi in versione spagnola originale e utilizzando le edizioni indicate in bibliografia.
Si raccomanda di procurarsi i testi in programma a inizio corso.
Classes are held in the first semester.
The lessons will be held in Italian, texts will be read in their original Spanish version and in the editions indicated in the bibliography.
Students are recommended to buy the texts in the programme at the very beginning of the course
