Al termine del corso lo studente avrà acquisito una più approfondita conoscenza delle forme letterarie, in particolare della forma narrativa.
At the end of the course the student will have acquired a deeper knowledge of literary forms, in particular of the narrative form.
L'accertamento delle conoscenze avverrà anche tramite attività seminariale.
The assessment of knowledge will also take place through seminar activities.
Lo studente sarà in grado di individuare fonti, reperire materiali, sviluppare un'analisi.
The student will be able to identify sources, find materials, develop an analysis.
Lo studente dovrà essere in grado di approntare una relazione scritta sugli argomenti concordati e di presentarla in classe.
The student must be able to prepare a written report on an agreed topic and present it in class.
Lo studente deve saper svolgere in modo scientificamente valido, autonomamente e in gruppo, la ricerca bibliografica, la selezione delle fonti e dei materiali.
The student must know how to carry out bibliographical research, how to select sources in a scientifically valid way, both independently and in groups
Allo studente sarà richiesta una relazione scritta concernente gli argomenti trattati.
The student will have to write a report concerning the topics covered.

Il corso è particolarmente indicato per gli studenti che intendono approfondire gli studi in Letteratura, in Filologia, con particolare attenzione alla lingua e alla letteratura francese, e in Linguistica e traduzione (curriculum traduzione).
The course is particularly suitable for students who want to deepen their studies in Literature and Philology, with particular attention to the French language and literature as well as Linguistics and Translation (curriculum in translation).
Le lezioni sono in parte frontali e e in parte seminariali e si svolgono in lingua francese. Il corso si avvale di seminari interni o esterni che ne arricchiscono l'offerta formativa.
Lessons are partly frontal and partly seminars and are held in French. The course makes use of internal or external seminars that they enrich the training offer.
Stendhal romanziere: modelli e motivi.
Il corso intende esplorare alcuni aspetti della produzione romanzesca di Stendhal da una parte attraverso la lettura di alcuni testi fondatori (del Seicento e del Settecento) e dall’altra attraverso l’analisi di alcune caratteristiche di Le Rouge et le Noir: le tecniche narrative (il dialogo, la descrizione, il punto di vista, le intrusioni di autore), la costruzione dei personaggi, la presenza del contesto politico-sociale, la composizione a partire da fatti di cronaca.

Stendhal novelist: models and motifs.
The course intends to explore some aspects of Stendhal's fictional production: on the one hand, through the reading of some founding texts (from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries); on the other, through the analysis of some features in Le Rouge et le Noir : the narrative techniques (dialogue, description, the point of view, the intrusion of the author), the construction of the characters, the presence of the political-social context, the compositionmstarting from news events.

Maggiori informazioni potranno essere reperibili su Moodle. Nota: Le relazioni corredate da bibliografia devono essere inviate alla docente 10 giorni prima della data dell'esame.

Examination procedure
The exam involves:
a written part: upon agreement with their Professor, students are required to present a written report on a subject related to the programme (discussion of a topic, analysis of a text / passage) accompanied by an updated bibliography taken from the mostsignificant bibliographical catalogues available online. More information can be found on Moodle. Note: Reports accompanied by bibliography must be sent to the Professor 10 days before the exam date.
an oral part: in French. Students must bring the texts in their original language.
