Che cosa significa individuare un “orientamento etico” rispetto ad una determinata esigenza o problematica? È sufficiente mettere a punto e, successivamente, sottoporre a sistematico commento un preciso quadro normativo di una determinata teoria etica o è necessario che il filosofo morale metta in campo altre attitudini? E, se sì, quali esattamente?
Il corso 2021/2022 si propone di mettere a tema e problematizzare il presunto divario tra le teorie e le pratiche sullo sfondo dell’etica generale all’interno del quale l’etica applicata si colloca.
Il potenziamento umano, l’interdisciplinarità, le immagini, l’ambiente, l’immigrazione, le pratiche filosofiche rappresentano altrettanti contesti con cui l’etica applicata sarà chiamata a confrontarsi.
What does it mean to identify an "ethical orientation" with regard to a specific need or issue? Is it sufficient to develop and then systematically comment on a precise normative framework of a particular ethical theory, or do moral philosophers need to bring other skills to bear? And if so, what exactly?
The aim of the 2021/2022 course is to discuss and problematise the alleged gap between theory and practice within the general ethical framework in which applied ethics is situated.
Human empowerment, interdisciplinarity, images, the environment, immigration and philosophical practices are all contexts with which applied ethics will be confronted.

L’esame sarà orale. Lo studente sarà chiamato a rispondere a domande sul programma d’esame da parte del docente e da parte degli altri membri della commissione. L’esame non risulterà superato se lo studente dimostrerà nel corso del colloquio, non rispondendo alle domande o rispondendo in modo incompleto, di non aver approfondito a sufficienza gli argomenti d’esami.
The examination will be oral. The student will be asked to answer questions on the examination programme by the teacher and by the other members of the committee. The exam will not be passed if the student demonstrates during the interview, by not answering the questions or by answering them incompletely, that he/she has not gone into the exam topics in sufficient depth.
