Lo studente conosce
- i principali aspetti etici e politici relativi all’utilizzo dei sistemi di apprendimento automatico (machine learning) a supporto di decisioni che hanno effetti sulle vite di esseri umani;
- le caratteristiche essenziali della gestione algoritmica del personale;
- le principali questioni politiche poste dal capitalismo dei grandi monopoli intellettuali.
The student understands the main ethical and political aspects related to the use of machine learning systems to select actions that affect the lives of human beings.

Il seminario si propone di fornire un’introduzione filosofica alle questioni etiche e politiche poste dall'uso di sistemi informatici per assumere decisioni che hanno effetti sulle vite degli esseri umani.
L'analisi concettuale sarà accompagnata dalla discussione di casi esemplari pratici.

Introduction, from a critical perspective, to the ethics of artificial intelligence.
This seminar aims to provide a philosophical introduction to the ethical and political issues raised by the employment of computer systems to automatically make decisions affecting the lives of human beings.
The conceptual analysis will be accompanied by the discussion of practical case examples.
Topics
This is an 14 hrs seminar. Lectures will be held in Italian.

La prova orale consiste in un colloquio tra il candidato e il docente ed è superata se il candidato si mostra in grado di esporre e utilizzare autonomamente i concetti essenziali presentati durante il seminario.
The oral test consists of an interview between the candidate and the lecturer and is passed if the candidate is able to autonomously present and use the essential concepts introduced during the seminar.
