Il corso sarà incentrato sullo studio delle fonti mongole medievali. Lo studente imparerà a leggere le fonti in modo critico, collocandole nel corretto contesto storico. Verranno fornite le conoscenze di base necessarie per affrontare correttamente la storia dei mongoli, che riuscirono a creare un impero vastissimo, che andava dall'Oceano Pacifico al Mar Caspio. Il corso sarà tenuto in codocenza con un visiting professor della State University of Mongolia.
The course will focus on the study of medieval Mongolian sources. The student will learn to read the sources critically, placing them in the correct historical context. The basic knowledge necessary to correctly approach the history of the Mongols, who succeeded in creating a vast empire that stretched from the Pacific Ocean to the Caspian Sea, will be provided. The course will be co-taught with a visiting professor from the State University of Mongolia.
