Lingua strumentale (Regina Pereira da Silva): il corso ha come obiettivo il raggiungimento del livello B1/B2 di competenza strumentale della lingua, stabilito dal Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue (QCER). Le esercitazioni scritte e orali con la collaboratrice ed esperta linguistica offriranno alle studentesse e agli studenti gli strumenti per acquisire, perfezionare e potenziare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative previste per il livello indicato. Il corso prevede l’apprendimento del portoghese nella sua varietà europea (PE).
Corso delle docenti: Le lezioni frontali con le docenti (Monica Lupetti, Elena Manzato) offriranno alle studentesse e agli studenti gli strumenti per acquisire, perfezionare e potenziare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative previste per il livello indicato, oltre a fornire le conoscenze relative alle caratteristiche della lingua portoghese nelle sue varietà europea (PE) e brasiliana (PB) a livello sintagmatico, frasale e semantico-lessicale, con riferimento ad ambiti discorsivi e situazioni comunicative diverse.
Instrumental language classes (Regina Pereira da Silva): the course aims to achieve the B1/B2 level of instrumental language proficiency set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Written and oral exercises with collaborators and linguistic experts (Instituto Camões and CLI), will provide students with the tools to acquire, perfect and enhance the linguistic and communicative skills required for the level indicated. The course includes the learning of Portuguese Brazilian (PB) variety.
Course: (Monica Lupetti e Elena Manzato) The face-to-face lessons with the professors will provide the students with the tools to acquire, refine and reinforce the linguistic and communicative skills required for the level indicated, as well as to provide knowledge of the characteristics of the Portuguese language in its European (PE) and Brazilian (PB) varieties at syntagmatic, phrasal and semantic-lexical level, with reference to different discursive fields and communicative situations.
Lingua strumentale (lettorato/esercitazioni). Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze:
- saranno assegnati esercizi da svolgere in autonomia o collettivamente durante il periodo di lezione;
- possesso delle certificazioni DIPLE conseguita da non più di due anni;
Corso delle docenti:
- saranno messi a disposizione sulle piattaforme dedicate esercizi di rafforzamento da svolgere in autonomia.
Instrumental language classes: (lectures/exercises). For the ascertainment of knowledge:
- exercises will be assigned to be carried out independently or collectively during the class period;
- possession of DIPLE certification obtained no more than two years ago.
Course:
- reinforcement exercises to be carried out independently will be made available on dedicated platforms.
Al termine del corso lo studente:
- sarà in grado di leggere, scrivere, capire e parlare la lingua portoghese (livello B1/B2);
- avrà sviluppato una coscienza metalinguistica su questioni inerenti alla semantica, alle relazioni lessicali, alla sintassi e ai creoli di base portoghese.
- sarà in grado di usare consapevolmente le strutture di coordinazione e subordinazione.
At the end of the course the student:
- will be able to read, write, understand and speak Portuguese (level B1/B2);
- will have developed a metalinguistic awareness of semantics, lexical relations, syntax and basic Portuguese creoles.
- will be able to consciously use coordination and subordination structures.
Durante le lezioni e le esercitazioni:
- saranno svolti esercizi di consolidamento (scritti e orali);
- saranno proposte attività di applicazione delle strutture presentate;
- saranno corretti e commentati gli esercizi svolti in autonomia.
During the exercises and lectures, students will be required:
- to carry out application activities of the given structures;
- to formulate hypotheses;
- to carry out brief research on certain topics.
Il raggiungimento del livello di competenza strumentale B1/B2 e l'acquisizione delle conoscenze e capacità previste per questo corso permetteranno allo studente e alla studentessa di essere in grado di comprendere e produrre testi scritti e orali che trattano argomenti linguistici, nonché di analizzare testi originali applicando le conoscenze acquisite. La combinazione di tali conoscenze e competenze forniranno le basi necessarie per la successiva annualità della disciplina (Linguistica, Lingua e Traduzione portoghese e brasiliana III) all’interno del Corso di Laurea.
The attainment of instrumental competence level B1/B2 and the acquisition of the knowledge and skills envisaged for this course will enable the student to be able to understand and produce written and oral texts dealing with linguistic topics, as well as to analyse original texts by applying the knowledge acquired. The combination of this knowledge and skills will provide the necessary basis for the subsequent year of the discipline (Linguistics, Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Translation III) within the Degree Course.
Durante il lettorato (esercitazioni) e le lezioni gli studenti saranno chiamati:
- a svolgere attività applicative sulle strutture date;
- a formulare ipotesi;
- a svolgere brevi ricerche su determinati argomenti.
During the exercises and lectures, students will be required:
- to carry out application activities of the given structures

Gli studenti dovranno previamente:
- aver frequentato il corso di Linguistica, Lingua e Traduzione Portoghese I;
- sapersi esprimere (oralmente e per scritto) dominando le strutture grafiche, morfologiche, sintattiche elementari, necessarie all'interazione in situazioni quotidiane;
- saper comprendere un testo scritto/un discorso orale legati a situazioni di vita quotidiana;
- saper leggere e comprendere un testo scientifico semplice;
- conoscere l'evoluzione diacronica, diatopica, diastratica, diafasica e diamesica del portoghese europeo (PE) e brasiliano (PB);
- conoscere la fonetica del portoghese europeo (PE) e brasiliano (PB), così come la sua trascrizione IPA;
- conoscere gli argomenti di base per la riflessione metalinguistica sul sistema linguistico;
- conoscere approfonditamente la grammatica della loro lingua materna e del portoghese.
Students must previously:
- have attended the Portuguese and Brazilian Linguistics, Language and Translation I course;
- be able to express themselves (orally and in writing) by mastering the elementary graphic, morphological and syntactic structures necessary for interaction in everyday situations;
- being able to understand a written text/oral discourse related to everyday life situations;
- being able to read and understand a simple scientific text;
- know the diachronic, diatopic, diastratic, diaphasic and diamesic evolution of European (PE) and Brazilian (PB) Portuguese;
- know the phonetics of European (EP) and Brazilian (PB) Portuguese, as well as its IPA transcription;
- know the basic arguments for metalinguistic reflection on the language system;
- know the grammar of their mother tongue and Portuguese in depth.
Si consiglia vivamente di frequentare il corso di lingua strumentale per migliorare e sostenere la competenza linguistica. Si consiglia, inoltre, di seguire in parallelo, o di aver seguito, il corso di linguistica generale.
It is highly recommended that you attend the instrumental language course to improve and support your linguistic competence (Portuguese language lectureship, European variety). It is also advisable to take, or have taken, the general linguistics course in parallel.
Questo insegnamento costituisce un requisito obbligatorio per la successiva annualità, ovvero Linguistica, Lingua e Traduzione Portoghese e Brasiliana III.

Le lezioni del corso istituzionale (Monica Lupetti, Elena Manzato) e quelle di lettorato/esercitazioni (Regina Pereira da Silva) saranno erogate in portoghese e si svolgeranno in aula, con l'ausilio di materiali video (slides) e audio, e di manuali didattici per l'apprendimento del portoghese come lingua straniera (PLE). Si ricorrerà all’uso della piattaforma Moodle per l'interazione docente/studente, spazio in cui saranno condivisi i materiali distribuiti durante le lezioni e le esercitazioni, la bibliografia e altri materiali di supporto. I docenti e la collaboratrice esperta linguistica stabiliranno i propri ricevimenti presenziali e online e li comunicheranno agli studenti.
The lectures of the institutional course (Monica Lupetti, Elena Manzato) and the instrumental language classes (Regina Pereira da Silva) will be delivered in Portuguese and will take place in the classroom, with the aid of video (slides) and audio materials, and didactic manuals for the learning of Portuguese as a foreign language (PLE). Use will be made of the Moodle platform for teacher/student interaction, a space where materials distributed during the lectures and exercises, bibliography and other support materials will be shared. The collaborator and language expert will establish her attendance schedules and communicate it to students.
Il corso è rivolto agli studenti di tutti i curricula della laurea triennale in Lingue e Letterature Straniere e della laurea triennale in Lettere (cfu a scelta libera). Il corso si propone di consolidare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative acquisite negli anni precedenti e prevede il raggiungimento del livello B1/B2 di competenza, puntando alla riflessione metalinguistica relativa alle relazioni semantico-lessicali e sintattiche e alle potenzialità espressive della lingua portoghese, a livello diafasico e diamesico. Sarà data attenzione alla ricezione e alla produzione del discorso, e alle strategie peculiari del registro colloquiale. Il corso, inoltre, offrirà un’introduzione alla creolistica di base portoghese. Il corso si articolerà in due moduli erogati dalle docenti (Monica Lupetti e Elena Manzato) e il lettorato (esercitazioni):
- Creolistica (Elena Manzato, I semestre, 3 lezioni a settimana, 18 ore, 3cfu): il corso verterà sull’analisi linguistica dei creoli, soffermandosi sulle realtà esistenti di base portoghese. Partendo da una riflessione su concetti-chiave, quali lingua materna, contatto linguistico, lingua seconda e lingua franca, il modulo si concentrerà su questioni relative ai pidgin e ai creoli, nello specifico, ai pidgin e creoli di Capo Verde, della Guiné-Bissau, di São Tomé e Príncipe, della Malesia e della comunità brasiliana quilombola, attraverso lo studio di testi e l’ausilio di fonti di varia natura, quali musiche e film.
- Semantica e Sintassi (Monica Lupetti, I semestre, 3 lezioni a settimana, 36 ore, 3cfu): il modulo propone un avviamento alla semantica e alle relazioni di senso (sinonimia, antonimia, iponimia/iperonimia, meronimia ecc.), alle relative teorie di analisi (semantica componenziale, semantica prototipica ecc.) e, successivamente, nozioni di sintassi della lingua portoghese, con particolare riferimento agli aspetti formali, funzionali e fraseologici. L’obiettivo è l'apprendimento di concetti semantici e le relative teorie e analisi, e lo studio delle strutture complesse della comunicazione, a partire dallo studio della coordinazione e subordinazione delle frasi, delle strategie di focalizzazione e topicalizzazione, delle relazioni di coesione e dei segnali discorsivi.
- Lettorato di portoghese europeo (Regina Pereira da Silva, annuale, I e II semestre, 3 esercitazioni a settimana): l'analisi degli aspetti sintattici teorici è accompagnata da esercitazioni di comprensione e produzione scritta e orale e da esercizi strutturali guidati che mirano a potenziare tutte e quattro le abilità linguistiche richieste dal QECR.
The course is aimed at students of all curricula of the three-year degree programme in Foreign Languages and Literature and the three-year degree programme in Humanities (free cfu). The course aims to consolidate the linguistic and communicative skills acquired in the previous years and envisages the attainment of B1/B2 level of competence, focusing on metalinguistic reflection relating to semantic-lexical and syntactic relations and the expressive potential of the Portuguese language, at diaphasic and diamesic levels. Attention will be given to the reception and production of speech, and to the strategies peculiar to the colloquial register. The course will also offer an introduction to basic Portuguese creolistics. The course will consist of two modules delivered by the lecturers (Monica Lupetti and Elena Manzato) and the instrumental language classes (tutorials):
- Creolistics (Elena Manzato, 18 hrs, 3cfu, I semester, 3 lessons for week): the course will focus on the linguistic analysis of Creoles, dwelling on the existing realities of the Portuguese base. Starting from a reflection on key concepts, such as mother tongue, language contact, second language and lingua franca, the module will focus on issues related to pidgins and creoles, specifically, the pidgins and creoles of Cape Verde, Guiné-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Malaysia and the Brazilian Quilombola community, through the study of texts and the aid of various sources, such as music and films.
- Semantics and Syntax (Prof.ssa Monica Lupetti, 36 hrs, 6cfu, I semester, 3 lessons for week): the module proposes, in a first step, an introduction to semantics and sense relations (synonymy, antonymy, hyponymy/hypernymy, meronymy etc.), to the related theories of analysis (componential semantics, prototypical semantics etc.) and, in a second, notions of syntax of the Portuguese language, with particular reference to formal, functional and phraseological aspects. The objective is the learning of semantic concepts and the related theories and analyses, and the study of complex structures of communication, starting with the study of the coordination and subordination of sentences, focusing and topicalisation strategies, cohesion relations and discursive signals.
- Instrumental European Portuguese classes (Regina Pereira da Silva, annual, I e II semesters, 3 lessons for week): the analysis of theoretical syntactic aspects is accompanied by written and oral comprehension and production exercises and guided structural exercises that aim to reinforce all four language skills required by the CEFR.

Per i non frequentanti il programma è uguale a quello da frequentanti. Si consiglia in ogni caso agli studenti e alle studentesse che decidono di non frequentare il corso di prendere contatto quanto prima con la docente (Monica Lupetti) per fissare un ricevimento.
For non-attending students, the syllabus is the same as for attending students. In any case, students who decide not to attend the course are advised to contact the lecturer (Monica Lupetti) as soon as possible to arrange a reception.
Il voto finale sarà unico e risulterà dalla media approssimativa delle varie attività previste, che consistono:
- per il corso istituzionale: 1 prova in itinere scritta (non obbligatoria) di Creolistica e 1 prova in itinere scritta (non obbligatoria) di Semantica e Sintassi. A fine corso lo studente e la studentessa che avranno superato le due prove scritte potranno accedere all’esame orale finale. Chi non sosterrà le prove in itinere o non le supererà con esito positivo, dovrà optare per l’esame scritto globale sui contenuti dell’intero corso istituzionale, per poi accedere all’esame orale. Ulteriori dettagli saranno forniti durante il corso e il ricevimento.
- per i corsi di lettorato sono previste una prova scritta e una prova orale. I lettorati hanno durata annuale, dunque sarà possibile svolgere le suddette prove solo a partire dall’appello estivo.
Attenzione: gli appelli estivi del lettorato sono 2 (giugno e luglio); quelli del corso istituzionale sono 3 (2 a giugno, 1 a luglio). L’appello autunnale (settembre) è uno in entrambi i casi.
Gli studenti si dovranno iscrivere alle prove SCRITTE e ORALI sulla piattaforma Valutami (le iscrizioni terminano 5 giorni prima della data di ciascuna prova).
Le valutazioni di ogni parte dell’esame hanno validità di un anno.
The final and single vote will result from the approximate average of the various planned activities, which consist of:
- for the institutional course: 1 in-itinere written test (non-mandatory) in Creolistics and 1 in-itinere written test (non-mandatory) in Semantics and Syntax. At the end of the course the student who has passed the three written tests will be eligible for the final oral examination. Those who do not take the in-progress tests or do not pass them successfully will have to opt for the comprehensive written examination on the content of the entire institutional course, and will then have access to the oral examination. Further details will be provided during the course and reception.
- A written test and an oral test are scheduled for the instrumental language classes. It has a one-year duration, so it will only be possible to take these tests from the summer appeal.
Please note: there are 2 summer call for the lectureship (June and July); there are 3 for the course (2 in June, 1 in July). The autumn call (September) is one in both cases.
Students must register for the WRITTEN and ORAL tests on the Valutami platform (registration ends 5 days before the date of each test).

The assessments of each part of the examination are valid for one year.
