Il laboratorio fornisce strumenti per comprendere diverse tipologie dell’espressione artistica contemporanea, che spesso sovvertono le assunzioni tradizionali in merito alla funzione rappresentativa dei quadri e delle sculture, e hanno anche abbandonato le tipologie di pittura e scultura, sconfinando nell’azione, nel comportamento sociale, nella dichiarazione politica e nell’elaborazione teorica. Pertanto, il laboratorio inviterà a comprendere le sfide al gusto comune portate avanti da molte opere contemporanee, che saranno considerate non solo per le loro caratteristiche formali, ma nel loro contesto ideologico, politico, intellettuale.
Il laboratorio sarà essenzialmente svolto sul campo, ossia in musei/collezioni di arte contemporanea. La frequenza è obbligatoria. Il numero massimo degli studenti ammessi è 15. In caso di richieste superiori a 15, sarà data precedenza sulla base del numero maggiore di crediti, certificato da Alice.
The workshop provides guidance to understand different types of contemporary artistic expression, which often subvert traditional assumptions about the representative function of paintings and sculptures, and have also abandoned the very typologies of painting and sculpture, trespassing into action, social behavior, political statement and theoretical elaboration. Therefore, the laboratory will invite to understand the challenges to common taste carried out by many contemporary works, which will be considered not only for their formal characteristics, but in their ideological, political and intellectual context.
The workshop will essentially be carried out in the field, ie in museums / contemporary art collections. Attendance is mandatory and the maximum number of students is 15. Priority will be given to students with higher amount of credits in thei career.

Writing a paper of art criticism on an artwork of the modern or contemporary period observed personally by the student. The workshop is open only to students who earned credits from previous exams of contemporary art history.
