Modalità di verifica dei comportamenti

Esercitazioni di fonetica acustica. Saranno incluse anche prove scritte in itinere, in conformità con gli obiettivi del progetto di eccellenza CECIL. Seguirà l’esame orale finale volto a verificare le competenze acquisite.
Assessment criteria of behaviors

The assessment criteria of skills refer to the critical discussions during the lessons. Test in acoustic phonetics. Written tests in itinere are included, in agreement with the aims of PE CECIL. The final colloquium aims at verifying the skills acquired.

Lezioni frontali con ausilii visivi (es., slides PPT; software Praat). Esercitazioni guidate.

Lectures with visual aids (e.g. PowerPoint presentations, software Praat). Guided practice.
Programma (contenuti dell'insegnamento)

Alla fine del corso, gli studenti avranno familiarizzato con i metodi e risultati della fonetica acustica e della teoria fonologica. Saranno stati guidati in una panoramica generale di entrambe le discipline per quanto attiene a differenti livelli di analisi. I principali approcci teorici verranno presentati e confrontati. In particolare, la teoria fonologica strutturalista e generativista e la loro applicazione alla lingua italiana e alla lingua latina.
Syllabus

By the end of the course, students will be acquainted with the methods and results of acoustic phonetics and phonological theory. They will have been guided through a broad overview of both disciplines with regard to different structural levels. The major theoretical approaches will be introduced and compared. In particular, formal patterns and application to Italian and Latinwill be proposed.
