Learning outcomes
Knowledge
The students who completes the work stage successfully will be able to demonstrate his/her capability to apply his/her general humanistic culture and his/her specific knowledge of the ancient world to an actual work especially in the field of publishing trade, media, libraries, inheritance and communication.
Assessment criteria of knowledge
During the stage period the student must attend regularly to his/her work and will be able to demonstrate his/her capability to carry out the project and to co-operate efficaciously with other members of a group.Methods:

The evaluation will be based on the written tutor’s report after the completion of the stage period.

Syllabus
On the ground of a specific agreement between the University of Pisa and a firm, a public body or a private foundation, the student will try a period of work, preferably in the field of publishing trade, media, libraries, inheritance, or communication, under the guidance of a tutor and the general supervision of the President of the Degree Programme in Philology and History of Antiquity.
Bibliography
The reading will vary according the nature of the stage and tutor’s judgement.
Work placement
The work will be carried out outside the University, in the office of a firm, or a public body, or a private foundation, on a project approved by both contracting parties of the agreement.
