Lo studente che segue il corso e supera l'esame acquisirà l'abilità di analizzare e definire le specifiche di circuiti e sistemi elettronici per veicoli sia per aspetti di controllo, che trazione (con motori a combustione, elettrica o ibrida), gestione dei flussi di potenza e energia, comunicazioni a bordo del veicolo, sistemi elettronici per infotainment e per guida assistita
The student who successfully completes the course will have the ability to design mechatronic systems for automotive engineering with particular reference to: - design of sensor interfaces - digitalization of analog signals - design of switching converters (DC-DC, inverter) and switching amplifiers for power actuators - design of in-vehicle networking systems - analysis of innovative automotive electronic systems (ABS, ESP; ACC, TPMS...) The student after the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of electronic systems for industrial, automotive and automation engineering and will acquire the required language and know-how to be part of R&D team in International companies active in the field of vehicular engineering and mechatronic systems.

The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss the main course contents using the appropriate terminology. During the oral exam the student must be able to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and be able to discuss the reading matter thoughtfully and with propriety of expression. The student's ability to explain correctly the main topics presented during the course at the board will be assessed. In the written exercise (1 hour) the student must demonstrate his/her knowledge of the course material and to organize an effective and correctly written reply. - With the oral presentation, to be made to the teacher and the other students, the student must demonstrate the ability to approach a circumscribed research problem, and organize an effective exposition of the results.

Lo studente, grazie anche a seminari di personale di industria (manager o tecnici), tenuti alla fine del corso acquisirà anche una visione dei bisogni delle imprese nel settore dell'automotive electronics
The student will acquire also a vision of the market and of the industrial needs in the field of electronics for vehicles
