Knowledge

The student who successfully completes the course will be able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of basic concepts about functional characteristics of transportation infrastructures (roads and constrained guide) in order to make the student able to apply them adequately to conduct chooses and planning previsions related to transportation infrastructures in urban and metropolitan areas.

Assessment criteria of knowledge

The student will be assessed on his/her demonstrated ability to discuss and to explain correctly the main course contents using the appropriate terminology.

Methods:

  • Final oral exam
  • Laboratory report
Skills

The student who successfully completed the course will be capable to approach and carry on transportation infrastructure plans and projects.

Assessment criteria of skills

The student will be assessed on his/her ability:

- during his/her project work

- during the oral exam

Behaviors

The student will be able to acquire and / or develop sensitivity to road design issues

Assessment criteria of behaviors

During the classroom exercises, the degree of sensitivity acquired on road design issues will be assessed

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of planning procedures and processes.
