Il corso ha come obiettivo il raggiungimento del livello C1 di conoscenza della lingua francese, stabiliti dal Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue (QCER). Le lezioni frontali con la docente, unitamente alle esercitazioni scritte e orali svolte dai collaboratori ed esperti linguistici (CEL), mirano a offrire agli studenti gli strumenti per acquisire, perfezionare e potenziare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative previste per il livello indicato.
By the end of the course, students who successfully complete the course will have the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Students should integrate their knowledge and skills attending the language classes organized by the CLI (former lettorato) for the required level.
Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze saranno svolte delle esercitazioni utilizzando test e altre attività sulla piattaforma E-learning e in classe.
La verifica delle conoscenze prevede il superamento di una prova di produzione e comprensione scritta e orale con i collaboratori ed esperti linguistici (CEL), nonché un colloquio finale con la docente per la parte di linguistica francese.
Ongoing assessment to monitor academic progress will be carried out in the form of tests on the e-learning space and during class.
By the end of the course students have to take a written and oral exam with language experts and an oral exam on French linguistics.
In linea con i descrittori del Quadro europeo comune per le lingue (QCER), al termine del corso gli studenti dovranno essere in grado di:
Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Dimostrare un’ottima padronanza del sistema linguistico del francese, nonché una solida conoscenza della sfera storico-culturale della Francia e dei Paesi dell’area francofona; comprendere testi letterari e informativi di considerevole lunghezza e complessità, trasmissioni televisive o film, apprezzandone lo stile e i registri linguistici; comprendere testi specialistici e istruzioni tecniche anche se questi non rientrano nell’ambito del proprio settore di competenza.
Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Comunicare efficacemente utilizzando un linguaggio chiaro e adeguato al contesto di comunicazione; dimostrare la piena padronanza del lessico e delle strutture sintattiche della lingua francese nelle relazioni sociali e/o professionali; scrivere testi di notevole lunghezza e complessità (lettere, saggi, articoli, relazioni ecc.) dotati di una struttura argomentativa chiara ed efficace, prendere posizione in un dibattito all’orale.
Autonomia di giudizio
Essere in grado di riconoscere e interrogare tipologie e generi testuali di diversa natura e complessità, esponendo il proprio punto di vista su un’ampia gamma di argomenti, sottolineando i punti ritenuti significativi e adottando uno stile adeguato al destinatario; saper utilizzare gli strumenti teorici appresi durante il corso per l’analisi testuale; essere in grado di inserire i testi e i discorsi analizzati in un contesto di produzione e ricezione preciso, anche in relazione a testi e discorsi affini; sviluppare un metodo di studio non mnemonico improntato alla piena consapevolezza dei principi teorici e all’analisi critica dei testi.
Abilità comunicative
essere in grado di esprimersi senza difficoltà nella comunicazione scritta e parlata, dimostrando di comprendere pienamente il discorso degli interlocutori; presentare descrizioni chiare e dettagliate di argomenti complessi; esporre con chiarezza e disinvoltura gli argomenti che saranno oggetto di discussione durante il corso, selezionare criticamente gli esempi dal corpus di testi studiato e utilizzare la terminologia scientifica appropriata.
Capacità di apprendimento
Sviluppare un metodo di studio pienamente adeguato alla trasmissione delle conoscenze acquisite, valutare in totale autonomia il livello raggiunto per sostenere l’esame, essere in grado di utilizzare con il massimo rigore gli strumenti forniti durante il corso, accostarsi senza alcuna difficoltà alla letteratura scientifica della disciplina, che verrà preventivamente affrontata e discussa durante le lezioni frontali con la docente.
According to the European descriptors of learning outcomes (Dublin descriptors), related to the skills required by the CEFR, by the end of the course students must be able to:
Knowledge and understanding
Demonstrate an excellent command of the French language system, along with a solid knowledge of the historical-cultural sphere of France and the countries of the French-speaking area; understand literary and informative texts of considerable length and complexity, television broadcasts or films, appreciating their style and linguistic registers; understand specialized texts and technical instructions even if these do not fall within their area of expertise.
Applying Knowledge and understanding
Communicate effectively using clear language appropriate to the communication context; demonstrate full command of the lexicon and syntactic structures of the French language in social and / or professional relationships; write texts of considerable length and complexity (letters, essays, articles, reports, etc.) with a clear and effective argumentative structure, take position in a debate.
Making Judgments
be able to recognize and interrogate text types and genres of different nature and complexity, expressing their point of view on a wide range of topics, underlining the points deemed significant and adopting a style appropriate to the recipient; knowing how to use the theoretical tools learned during the course for the analysis of textual macrostructure and microstructure; be able to insert the analysed texts and discourses in a precise production and reception context; develop a non-mnemonic study method based on full awareness of theoretical principles and critical analysis of texts.
Communication
be able to express themselves without any difficulty in written and spoken communication, demonstrating that they fully understand the speech of the interlocutors; present clear and detailed descriptions of complex topics, integrating them with secondary themes and concluding their intervention in an appropriate way; clearly and confidently explain the topics that will be discussed during the course, critically select the examples from the corpus of texts studied and use the appropriate scientific terminology.
Lifelong learning skills
Acquire a study method fully suited to the transmission of acquired knowledge, evaluate in total autonomy the level reached to take the exam, be able to use the tools provided during the course with the utmost rigor, approach without any difficulty the scientific literature of the discipline, which will be addressed and discussed in advance during the lectures with the teacher.

Alla fine del corso le studentesse e gli studenti saranno in grado di comunicare efficacemente in lingua francese, riconoscere i fenomeni legati alla variazione diatopica, diacronica e sociolinguistica nel genere letterario del romanzo poliziesco, dimostrando di saper tradurre i testi dal francese all’italiano, riconoscendo contestualmente i fenomeni variazionali rispetto alla norma del “francese di riferimento”.
By the end of the course the students will be able to communicate effectively in French, recognize the phenomena related to the sociolinguistic variation of French in crime novel, demonstrating that they can translate texts from French to Italian, recognising at the same time the variational phenomena compared to the norm of the "reference French".
Alle studentesse e agli studenti sarà chiesto di partecipare attivamente alle esercitazioni svolte in classe. Le esercitazioni verteranno sulla traduzione, l’analisi e il commento linguistico dei testi indicati nella bibliografia primaria.
Students will be asked to actively participate in the exercises carried out in the classroom.
Il corso richiede una conoscenza pregressa della lingua francese di livello B2 del QCER.
The course will be held in French. Students are required to have a B2 level in French (CEFR).

La frequenza del corso non è obbligatoria ma fortemente consigliata.
Il corso è tenuto in lingua francese e prevede lezioni frontali, oltre alle esercitazioni con l’aiuto di testi e documenti audio e video.
The course is held in French and includes:
- face-to-face lectures

- comprehension activities with written and/or audio documents.
The class attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended.
Il programma del corso contempla gli argomenti seguenti:
Modulo 1 (36 ore, comune a entrambi i curricula):
- le principali teorie traduttologiche di area francofona;
- la variazione sociolinguistica;
- le risorse terminologiche e lessicografiche di lingua francese;
- la letteratura poliziesca;
- le strategie di traduzione della variazione;
- caratteristiche stilistiche del romanzo poliziesco.
Modulo 2 (18 ore, solo curriculum Linguistico)
- la linguistica dei corpora.
The course will be focused on:
Part 1 (36 hours, for both curricula):
- translation theories of the French-speaking area;
- social varieties of French;
- French dictionaries and terminological resources;
- Translation strategies for sociolinguistic phenomena;
- Stylistic features of the crime novel.
Part 2 (18 hours, only for curriculum “Linguistico”)

La frequenza, seppur non obbligatoria, è fortemente consigliata.
L’esame è strutturato in due parti: una prova scritta e orale con i collaboratori ed esperti linguistici, volta ad accertare i contenuti appresi durante il corso di lettorato, e una prova di linguistica. Il completamento dell’esame di lettorato è necessario per l’accesso all’esame orale di lingua e linguistica.
The final exam consists of two parts: a written and oral test, in order to assess the knowledge and the skills learned during the instrumental language course (former lettorato), and a French linguistics test (see also syllabus). Students will be allowed to pass the second part only after having completed the various sections of the instrumental language tests.
