Lingua strumentale (corso di lettorato/esercitazioni tenuto da Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza): il corso ha come obiettivo il raggiungimento del livello C1 di competenza strumentale della lingua, stabilito dal Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue (QCER). Le esercitazioni scritte e orali con la collaboratrice ed esperta linguistica offriranno alle studentesse e agli studenti gli strumenti per acquisire, perfezionare e potenziare le competenze linguistiche e comunicative previste per il livello indicato. Il corso prevede l’apprendimento del portoghese nella sua varietà brasiliana (PB).
Corso della docente (Monica Lupetti): al termine del corso lo studente sarà in grado di gestire situazioni comunicative in ambiti diversi (interlculturale, interpersonale, di impresa e istituzionale) e redigere project work, brochure, recensioni, messaggi pubblicitari ecc… relativi a temi che saranno trattati durante il semestre.
Instrumental language classes (Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza): the course aims to achieve the C1 level of instrumental language proficiency set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Written and oral exercises with collaborator and linguistic expert (CLI), will provide students with the tools to acquire, perfect and enhance the linguistic and communicative skills required for the level indicated. The course includes the learning of Brazilian Portuguese (PB) variety.
Course (Monica Lupetti): at the end of the course, the student will be able to handle communicative situations in different contexts (interlcultural, interpersonal, business and institutional) and draft project work, brochures, reviews, advertisements, etc. relating to topics that will be covered during the semester.
Lingua strumentale (lettorato/esercitazioni). Per l'accertamento delle conoscenze:
- saranno assegnati esercizi da svolgere in autonomia o collettivamente durante il periodo di lezione;
- possesso della certificazione Duple o Celpe-Bras conseguita da non più di due anni.
Corso della docente:
- saranno messe a disposizione sulle piattaforme dedicate esercizi volti a sviluppare la capacità di riflessione di studenti e studentesse in merito alla componente comunicativa dei testi, scritti e orale, e alle strategie adottate per la trasmissione del messaggio. Tali esercizi potranno essere svolti in autonomia o in aula.
Instrumental language classes: (lectures/exercises). For the ascertainment of knowledge:
- exercises will be assigned to be carried out independently or collectively during the class period;
- possession of Duple or Celpe-Bras certifications obtained no more than two years ago.
Course:
- Exercises aimed at developing students' ability to reflect on the communicative component of texts, both written and oral, and the strategies adopted to convey the message will be made available on dedicated platforms. These exercises may be carried out independently or in the classroom.
Al termine del corso lo studente:
- sarà in grado di leggere, scrivere, capire e parlare la lingua portoghese (livello C1) nelle sue due varietà principali;
- sarà in grado di applicare le conoscenze acquisite a problemi di analisi testuale, elaborando strategie efficaci per acquisire una maggiore coscienza linguistica. L'obiettivo è sensibilizzare gli studenti e le studentesse verso un’analisi puntuale della conversazione e del testo scritto che abbia importanti ricadute operative, che li renda cioè maggiormente competenti e autonomi nella gestione dei più variegati contesti comunicativi.
At the end of the course the student:
- will be able to read, write, understand and speak Portuguese (level C1 for the 1º year) in its two main varieties;
- will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to textual analysis problems, devising effective strategies for acquiring greater linguistic awareness. The aim is to sensitise students towards a precise analysis of conversation and written text that has important operational implications, i.e. to make them more competent and autonomous in the management of the most varied communicative contexts.
Durante le lezioni e le esercitazioni:
- saranno svolti esercizi di consolidamento (scritti e orali);
- saranno proposte attività di applicazione delle strutture e dei contesti comunicativi presentati;
- saranno corretti e commentati gli esercizi svolti in autonomia, in linea con gli obiettivi del Progetto di Eccellenza CECIL (2023-2027). In un’ottica di contrasto all’impoverimento linguistico, si dedicherà congrua attenzione alla revisione e correzione di testi di vario genere (project work, brochure, recensioni, messaggi pubblicitari ecc…), redatti dagli studenti e dalle studentesse ed esplorativi di contesti comunicativi distinti e interconnessi in un possibile futuro ambito lavorativo.
During the exercises and lectures, students will be required:
- consolidation exercises (written and oral) will be carried out;
- activities will be proposed for application of the communicative structures and contexts presented;
- exercises carried out independently will be corrected and commented on, in line with the objectives of the CECIL Project of Excellence (2023-2027). With a view to combating linguistic impoverishment, appropriate attention will be paid to the revision and correction of texts of various kinds (project work, brochures, reviews, advertising messages, etc.), written by the students and exploring distinct and interconnected communicative contexts in a possible future working environment.
Il raggiungimento dei livelli di competenza strumentale C1 e l'acquisizione delle conoscenze e capacità previste per questo corso permetteranno allo studente e alla studentessa di analizzare, con un approccio descrittivo scientifico, strutture linguistiche riconducibili a vari gradi di complessità, mediante l’uso di una terminologia specialistica pertinente. La combinazione di tali conoscenze e competenze conduce al conseguimento degli obiettivi previsti dalle discipline Lingua e Traduzione portoghese e brasiliana I e II, in vista dell’ottenimento del titolo di laurea magistrale.
The achievement of instrumental proficiency levels C1 and the acquisition of the knowledge and skills foreseen for this course, will enable the student to analyse, with a scientific descriptive approach, linguistic structures of varying degrees of complexity, through the use of relevant specialist terminology. The combination of these knowledge and skills leads to the attainment of the objectives set for the disciplines Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Translation I and II, with a view to obtaining the Master's degree.
Durante le esercitazioni e le lezioni gli studenti e le studentesse saranno chiamati:
- a svolgere attività applicative delle strutture date;
- a formulare ipotesi;
- a svolgere brevi ricerche sulla gestione della comunicazione nei seguenti contesti: imprese, istituzioni, politica, pubblicità e reti sociali. Tali ricerche, sempre in linea con gli obiettivi di CECIL (2023-2027), saranno condivise, riviste e commentate in classe con la docente.
During the exercises and lectures, students will be required:
- to carry out application activities of the given structures;
- to formulate hypotheses;
- to carry out brief research on communication management in the following contexts: business, institutions, politics, advertising and social networks. This research, again in line with the CECIL objectives (2023-2027), will be shared, reviewed and commented on in class with the professor.
Per poter sostenere l'esame relativo al corso di Lingua e Traduzione portoghese e brasiliana I è necessario avere conseguito il titolo di laurea triennale e possedere nel curriculum almeno 24 cfu di Lingua e Traduzione portoghese e brasiliana.
In order to be able to sit the examination for the Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Translation I course, it is necessary to have obtained a Bachelor's degree and to have at least 24 cfu of Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Translation in the curriculum.
È vivamente consigliata la frequenza dei corsi di lingua strumentale (lettorato/esercitazioni di lingua portoghese, varietà brasiliana (PB) ed europea (PE)) per migliorare e sostenere la competenza linguistica.
Attendance at instrumental language courses (lectures/exercises in Portuguese (PB and PE)) to improve and support language competence is highly recommended.
Le lezioni istituzionali (Monica Lupetti) e quelle del lettorato/esercitazioni (Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza) saranno tenute in lingua portoghese.
Le lezioni si svolgono in aula, con l'ausilio di materiali video (slides) e audio e di manuali didattici per l'apprendimento del portoghese come lingua straniera (PLE). Si ricorrerà all’uso della piattaforma Moodle, per l'interazione docente/studente, spazio in cui saranno condivisi i materiali distribuiti durante le lezioni del corso istituzionale e del lettorato/esercitazioni, la bibliografia e altri materiali di supporto. La docente e le collaboratrici ed esperte linguistiche stabiliranno i propri ricevimenti presenziali/a distanza e li comunicheranno agli studenti e alle studentesse a inizio semestre.
- Institutional lectures (Monica Lupetti) and lectures/exercises (Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza) will be given in Portuguese.
- Lectures will take place in the classroom, with the aid of video (slides) and audio materials and didactic manuals for learning Portuguese as a foreign language (PLE). Use will be made of the Moodle platform for teacher/student interaction, a space in which the materials distributed during the lessons of the institutional course and the lecture/exercise, the bibliography and other support materials will be shared. The professor and the collaborator and language expert will establish their attendance/distance receptions and will communicate them to students at the beginning of the semester.
Il corso è rivolto agli studenti e alle studentesse di tutti i curricula delle lauree magistrali in Linguistica e Traduzione, in Letterature e Filologie Europee ed Extraeuropee e in Italianistica.
- Corso istituzionale (Monica Lupetti, II semestre, 3 lezioni a settimana, 54 ore, 9 cfu): il corso si concentrerà sugli aspetti principali e concetti-chiave della comunicazione. Nello specifico saranno affrontati i seguenti topics:
- Modi di parlare: funzioni e usi specialistici:
- Linguaggio scritto e linguaggio parlato;
- Usi linguistici ordinari e specializzanti: i linguaggi specialistici;
- Vari tipi di usi specialistici;
- Usi specialistici, media e accesso ai significati;
- Internet e la parola visibile;
- Componenti gergali nell’espressione linguistica;
- Le lingue artificiali.
- La competenza comunicativa:
- Gli atti linguistici;
- Cooperare per capirsi. La nozione di pertinenza nella comunicazione linguistica;
- La competenza comunicativa;
- Gli approcci strutturalisti e stilistici al significato.

- La competenza comunicativa interculturale;
- Problemi interculturali legati alla lingua, ai gesti, al corpo, agli oggetti;
- Problemi di comunicazione dovuti a valori culturali;

- Lettorato di portoghese brasiliano (Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza, annuale, I e II semestre, 3 esercitazioni a settimana): mirando all'acquisizione delle capacità comunicative richieste dal livello C1, durante il lettorato/esercitazioni sarà dato particolare spazio alla pratica di redazione di testi scritti di varia tipologia. La collaboratrice ed esperta linguistica potenzierà, in ogni caso, tutte le abilità linguistiche richieste dal QECR.
The course is aimed at students in all the curricula of the Master's degree programmes in Linguistics and Translation, in European and Extra-European Literature and Philology and in Italianistics.
- course (Monica Lupetti, 2nd semester, 3 lessons per week, 54 hours, 9 cfu): the course will focus on the main aspects and key concepts of communication. Specifically, the following topics will be addressed:
- Ways of speaking: specialised functions and uses:
- Written and spoken language;
- Ordinary and specialised language uses: Specialised languages;
- Various types of specialised uses;
- Specialised uses, media and access to meanings;
- Internet and the visible word;
- Slang components in linguistic expression;
- Artificial languages.
- Communicative competence:
- Language acts;
- Cooperating to understand each other. The notion of relevance in linguistic communication;
- Communicative competence;
- The structuralist and stylistic approaches to meaning.
- III. Intercultural communication in the Lusophone space:
- Intercultural communicative competence;
- Intercultural problems related to language, gestures, the body, objects;
- Communication problems due to cultural values;
- Interpretive problems of the model and some reference concepts;
- Relational skills.

Instrumental Brazilian Portuguese classes (Ana Luiza Oliveira de Souza, one year, I and II semester, 3 tutorials per week): aiming at the acquisition of the communicative skills required by the C1 level, during the lectures/tutorials particular emphasis will be placed on the practice of writing texts of various types. The language assistant and expert will, in any case, reinforce all the language skills required by the CEFR.

Per i non frequentanti il programma è uguale a quello da frequentanti. Si consiglia in ogni caso agli studenti e alle studentesse che decidono di non frequentare il corso di prendere contatto quanto prima con la docente (Monica Lupetti) per fissare un ricevimento.
For non-attending students, the syllabus is the same as for attending students. In any case, students who decide not to attend the course are advised to contact the lecturer (Monica Lupetti) as soon as possible to arrange a reception.
Il voto finale sarà unico e risulterà dalla media approssimativa delle varie attività previste, che consistono:
- per il corso istituzionale: 2 relazioni/elaborati/project works ecc…, ed esposizioni in classe in modalità seminariale (interattive e gestite da un discussant previamente indicato), relativi a temi trattati durante il corso. La redazione delle 2 relazioni/elaborati/project works ecc…, ed esposizioni è obbligatoria, sia per frequentanti sia non. A fine corso, lo studente e la studentessa dovranno sostenere un esame orale sulla bibliografia sopra indicata. Ulteriori dettagli saranno forniti durante il corso e il ricevimento.
- per il corso di lettorato sono previste una prova scritta e una prova orale. I lettorati hanno durata annuale, dunque sarà possibile svolgere le suddette prove solo a partire dall’appello estivo. Attenzione: gli appelli estivi del lettorato sono 2 (giugno e luglio); quelli del corso istituzionale sono 3 (2 a giugno, 1 a luglio). L’appello autunnale (settembre) è uno in entrambi i casi.
Gli studenti si dovranno iscrivere alle prove SCRITTE e ORALI sulla piattaforma Valutami (le iscrizioni terminano 5 giorni prima della data di ciascuna prova).
Note
Le valutazioni di ogni parte dell’esame hanno validità di un anno.
The final and single vote will result from the approximate average of the various planned activities, which consist of:
- for the course: 2 written reports/papers/project works etc., and in-class seminar presentations (interactive and led by a discussant indicated in advance), relating to topics covered during the course. The writing of the 2 reports/papers/project works etc., and presentations are mandatory for all students. At the end of the course, the student will have to take an oral examination on the bibliography indicated above. Further details will be provided during the course and reception.
- A written test and an oral test are scheduled for the instrumental language classes. It has a one-year duration, so it will only be possible to take these tests from the summer appeal.
Please note: there are 2 summer call for the lectureship (June and July); there are 3 for the course (2 in June, 1 in July). The autumn call (September) is one in both cases.
Students must register for the WRITTEN and ORAL tests on the Valutami platform (registration ends 5 days before the date of each test).
Notes
The assessments of each part of the examination are valid for one year.
Le lezioni di Lingua portoghese I dei corsi magistrali (prof.ssa Monica Lupetti) si terranno nel secondo semestre.
Il laboratorio traduttivo (3 cfu per il curriculum traduttivo) è tenuto dalla prof.ssa Valeria Tocco e si tiene nel primo semestre:
lunedì 14:15-17:30, Lab 1 Palazzo Ricci. Per il giorno di inizio consultare la pagina della prof.ssa Tocco.
Le lezioni di Lettorato portoghese brasiliano (PB) si tengono tre volte a settimana in entrambi i semestri. Sono tenute dalla prof.ssa Ana Luiza Souza con il seguente orario:
