Lo studente attraverso gli argomenti trattati acquisirà la conoscenza dei processi di globalizzazione che hanno interessato l’economia internazionale dalla seconda metà del secolo XIX ai nostri giorni, nonché delle teorie economiche che hanno sostenuto tali processi. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata all’inserimento dell’economia italiana nell’economia globalizzata. Ciò permetterà l’acquisizione di conoscenze utili per orientarsi e interpretare l’evoluzione attuale di tali fenomeni economici nella duplice prospettiva nazionale/internazionale.
Through the topics covered, the student will acquire knowledge of the globalization processes that have affected the international economy from the second half of the 19th century to the present day, as well as the economic theories that have supported these processes. Particular attention will be devoted to the inclusion of the Italian economy in the globalized economy. This will allow the acquisition of useful knowledge to orient and interpret the current evolution of these economic phenomena in the dual national/international perspective.
Per l’accertamento delle conoscenze saranno svolti dei colloqui in aula fra docente e gli studenti, al fine di verificare la capacità degli studenti di sapersi orientare nel quadro teorico di riferimento. Lo studente dovrà dimostrare le conoscenze acquisite attraverso un linguaggio appropriato e una valutazione critica degli argomenti affrontati.
For the assessment of knowledge, classroom interviews will be held between the teacher and the students, in order to verify the students' ability to know how to orient themselves in the theoretical framework of reference. The student will have to demonstrate the knowledge acquired through an appropriate language and a critical evaluation of the covered topics.
Lo studente sarà in grado di svolgere ricerche e utilizzare le fonti storiografiche e statistiche relative alle discipline storico-economiche che si interessano ai processi di globalizzazione dell’economia.
The student will be able to carry out research and use the historiographical and statistical sources relating to the historical-economic disciplines that are interested in the processes of the economic globalization.
Le capacità acquisite durante il corso potranno essere verificate in aula attraverso la discussione di casi studio. I criteri di valutazione saranno: l’autonomia di giudizio, le abilità argomentative e di ragionamento.
The skills acquired during the course can be verified in the classroom through the discussion of case studies. The evaluation criteria will be: independent judgement, argumentative and reasoning skills.
Lo studente maturerà un atteggiamento critico rispetto ai problemi posti dai processi di globalizzazione dell’economia.
The student will develop a critical attitude towards the problems caused by the processes of globalization of the economy.
L’acquisizione dei comportanti verrà rilevata durante il corso, valutando la partecipazione dello studente in aula e la proposta di temi di discussione pertinenti.
The acquisition of the behaviors will be checked during the course, by evaluating the student's participation in the classroom and the proposal of pertinent topics for discussion.
Considerato il carattere introduttivo del corso, non sono richiesti specifici prerequisiti. Tuttavia, è auspicabile una adeguata conoscenza della storia contemporanea ed elementari nozioni di economia.
Given the introductory nature of the course, no specific prerequisites are required. However, an adequate knowledge of contemporary history and elementary notions of economics are desirable.
Pur non essendo obbligatoria, si raccomanda la frequenza.
Attendance is recommended, even if it is not compulsory.
E’ consigliato il superamento di questo corso prima di affrontare i corsi successivi, poiché i temi trattati agevoleranno la comprensione degli insegnamenti del secondo semestre e degli anni successivi.
It is recommended to pass this course before the other subsequent courses, since the topics covered will facilitate the understanding of the teachings of the second semester and the subsequent years.
Il corso è articolato sulla base di lezioni frontali ed è suddiviso in due moduli (il primo tenuto dal Prof. A. Bianchi e il secondo dal Prof. M. Cini).
The course is articulated on the basis of lectures and is divided into two modules (the first one held by Prof. A. Bianchi and the second one by Prof. M. Cini).
I modulo: dallo studio dei principali fondamenti della teoria economica si approda all’analisi delle tre diverse fasi di globabilizzazione che hanno caratterizzato la storia del mondo occidentale negli ultimi 130-140 anni.
II modulo: l’attenzione si concentrerà su alcuni fattori che hanno condizionato lo sviluppo economico e l’internazionalizzazione dell’economia italiana dalla fine del secolo XIX fino a oggi.
First module: from the study of the main foundations of economic theory we arrive at the analysis of the three different phases of globalization that have characterized the history of the Western world in the last 130-140 years.
Second module: the analysis will focus on some factors that have influenced the economic development and internationalization of the Italian economy from the end of the 19th century until today.

L’esame consiste in una prova orale finale (in lingua italiana). La prova non è superata se il candidato mostra di non essere in grado di esprimersi in modo chiaro e di usare una terminologia corretta, oppure se si mostrerà incapace di mettere in relazione le varie parti in cui si articola il programma.
The final exam is oral (in Italian). The exam is not passed if the candidate proves unable to express himself clearly and to use correct terminology, or if he proves unable to relate the various parts of the program.
