Il corso del prof. MIchelini è dedicato all’analisi dellla cultura economica e politica del centro destra e del centro sinistra in Italia dopo il crollo della Prima Repubblica. Particolare rilievo assumerà la disamina del cd berlusconismo.
Nella parte del corso sostenuta dai prof. Mauro Lenci gli studenti acquisiranno la conoscenza delle diverse teorie critiche ai fondamenti illuministici della democrazia liberale in epoca moderna e contemporanea.
Prof.'s course MIchelini is dedicated to the analysis of the economic and political culture of the center right and center left in Italy after the collapse of the First Republic. The examination of the so-called Berlusconism will take on particular importance.
In the part of the course held by prof. Mauro Lenci students will acquire knowledge of the different critical theories of the Enlightenment foundations of liberal democracy in the modern and contemporary age.
Prof. Michelini: durante le lezioni e durante l'esame, verrà approfondita le conoscenze acquisite dagli studenti.
Lenci :Durante la discussione in aula e in sede d’esame orale sarà verificata la conoscenza della materia, con una particolare attenzione sulla capacità di sapersi orientare nel quadro teorico di riferimento. Lo studente dovrà dimostrare le sue conoscenze attraverso un linguaggio appropriato, maturando uno sguardo critico sui temi trattati durante il corso. A tal fine la partecipazione in aula sarà valutata positivamente.
Prof. Michelini: students who intend to follow the course are obliged to follow it in its entirety, without absences (if not for medical and health reasons). For them, the examination turns in the following way.
Starting with the second lesson, half an hour of each lesson will be dedicated to checking the notes. taken by students, from the previous lesson. The teacher, in fact, for a precise didactic and pedagogical choice, does not provide slides, because the notes must be the result of the students' ability to listen, discuss and synthesize. This verification constitutes 30% of the final evaluation. An arithmetic sum of the marks taken in each week will not be made, but the final progress achieved by the students will be evaluated.
Another 20% is dedicated to assessing the students' ability to discuss, who will all be called to intervene if they do not propose. The aim is to learn how to set up and carry out a scientific discussion.
The remaining 50% of the assessment is verified during the exam, where the student prepares the texts mentioned in the bibliography and demonstrates the progress achieved during the course.
Lenci :During debates in the classroom and during the oral exam, the student’s knowledge of the subject will be verified, with particular attention to the ability to apply the theoretical framework of reference. The student will have to demonstrate her/his knowledge using appropriate language, having gained a critical understanding of the topics covered during the course. To this end, participation in the classroom will be positively evaluated.
Prof. Michelini: gli studenti sono messi in grado di orientarsi nella letteratura delle differenti ideologie politiche ed economiche dell'Italia contemporanea.

Lo studente aquisirà, in generale, la capacità di comprensione dei temi trattati, quella di applicare le conoscenze ottenute attraverso la disamina di tematiche specifiche, nonché quella di rielaborare le informazioni in maniera autonoma e personale, mostrando così autonomia di giudizio. Svilupperà inoltre capacità di apprendimento, ovvero corretta acquisizione di strumenti e capacità di giudizio critico sopra problemi complessi.
Gli studenti acquisiranno la capacità di riconoscere tematiche differenti concernenti la critica alla democrazia liberale, in prospettiva storica e teorica, attraverso una metodologia interdisciplinare che attinge al pensiero politico, alla sociologia e alla storia economica e sociale
Prof. Michelini: students are enabled to orient themselves in the literature of the different political and economic ideologies of contemporary Italy.
The teacher prof. Michelini, for a precise didactic and pedagogical choice, does not provide slides, because the notes must be the result of the students' ability to listen, discuss and synthesize. The aim is to learn how to set up and carry out a scientific discussion.
Lenci:In general, the student will acquire the ability to understand the topics covered and to apply the knowledge obtained through the examination of specific issues,, as well as the ability to re-elaborate information independently and personally, showing autonomy of judgment. She/he will also developearning skills, i.e. correct acquisition of tools and critical judgment skills on complex concerns.
Students will acquire the ability to recognize different issues concerning the criticism of liberal democracy, in a historical and theoretical perspective, through an interdisciplinary methodology that draws on political thought, sociology, economic and social history
Con il prof. Michelini la verifica delle capacità avverrà durante tutte le lezioni, oltre che all'esame finale.

With prof. Michelini skills will be checked during all lessons, as well as at the final exam.

La discussione orale è fondamentale per verificare la padronanza delle principali categorie economiche e politiche utilizzate dagli autori presi in considerazione.
Lenci: Il corso mira a fornire gli strumenti per orientarsi e valutare le idee ed i concetti nella storia del pensiero politico. Lo studente maturerà una sensibilità verso le problematiche sviluppatesi nell'arco di secoli. A tal fine, sarà in grado di formarsi opinioni personali e discutere in modo argomentato le sue deduzioni. Svilupperà inoltre abilità comunicative, a partire dalla capacità di comunicare idee e problemi con proprietà di linguaggio e buone procedure di articolazione del pensiero. Lo studente sarà in grado di leggere testi complessi e articolati e di spiegarne e discuterne il contenuto usando una terminologia appropriata.
Prof. Michelini. The oral discussion is fundamental to verify the mastery of the main economic and political categories used by the authors considered. The verification of the notes is essential to detect the ability of students to listen, synthesize and discuss the topics of the lesson. Continuity of study is required during the course, which is an integral part of preparation for the final exam.
Lenci:The course aims to provide the tools to orientate and evaluate ideas and concepts in the history of political thought The student will develop a sensitivity towards the problems developed over the centuries. To this end, she/he will be able to form personal opinions and discuss her/his deductions in a reasoned way. She/he will also develop communication skills, starting from the ability to communicate ideas and problems with a proper language and a good articulation of thought. The student will be able to read complex and articulated texts, showing ability to explain and discuss the main contents using the appropriate terminology.
Con il prof. Michelini la verifica avviene attraverso la discussione orale durante le lezioni e l'esame.
Lenci: L’acquisizione dei comportamenti verrà rilevata durante tutta la durata del corso. Nello specifico sarà valutata positivamente la partecipazione in aula e la proposta di temi di discussione.
With prof. Michelini verification takes place through oral discussion during the lessons and the exam, the compilation of notes, compliance with the instructions given each week.
Lenci: The demonstration of appropriate behaviour will be observed throughout the duration of the course. Specifically, the following behaviour will be positively evaluated: participation in the classroom and the proposal of discussion topics.
Il corso del prof. Michelini presuppone che gli studenti abbiano sostenuto l’esame di Storia contemporanea.
Si consiglia di aver dato, o di studiare in contemporanea, l’esame di Storia del pensiero economico.
Lenci: È fortemente consigliato, ma non obbligatorio, l’aver superato l’esame di Storia delle dottrine politiche. Quest’ultimo fornirà i principali metodi e strumenti per comprendere in modo più approfondito i temi dell’insegnamento in oggetto.
The course of prof. Michelini assumes that the students have taken the contemporary history exam.
While not preparatory, it is advisable to have taken, or to study at the same time, the exam in the History of Economic Thought.
Lenci:It is strongly recommended, but not mandatory, to have passed the History of political doctrines exam. The latter will provide the main methods and tools to better understand the module content.

Lenci: La frequenza del corso è fortemente consigliata per gli studenti che intendono proseguire gli studi nel corso di Laurea Magistrale "Istituzioni, politica e società". I temi affrontati saranno infatti fondamentali per la base degli insegnamenti proposti dalla LM 62.
Lenci: Attendance of the course is strongly recommended for students who intend to continue their studies in the Master's Degree course "Istituzioni, politica e società". The topics addressed will in fact be fundamental for the basis of the modules proposed by LM 62.
Le lezioni del prof. Michelini prevedono da parte del docente la lettura e il commento di testi, oltre che l'esposizione delle tematiche affrontate di volta in volta.
Lenci: Il corso si svolgerà nella maggioranza dei casi in forma di lezioni frontali e sarà tenuto in lingua italiana. Il Docente sarà sempre a disposizione attraverso la posta elettronica per concordare un incontro.
Prof. Michelini: the lessons include the reading and commentary of texts by the teacher, as well as the exposure of the issues addressed from time to time. Bibliographical indications and distributed teaching materials are given, which the student is required to study in depth for the next lesson. The student's presentation of the content of the reading, the summary and the commentary of the previous lesson, the discussion with the teacher and with the colleagues is also scheduled.
Lenci: The course will take the form of frontal lectures and will be held in Italian. The teacher will always be available via e-mail to arrange a meeting.

Il docente valuta la preparazione degli studenti sia durante il corso, sia in sede d'esame , che è orale.
Per i non frequentanti l'esame orale valuterà il 100% della preparazione.
Lenci:
La prova d’esame si svolge in forma orale. Lo studente dovrà rispondere correttamente ad almeno tre domande proposte dalla commissione d’esame. Lo scopo della prova orale è verificare la capacità dello studente di applicare il proprio bagaglio nozionistico e di eseguire i necessari collegamenti logico-deduttivi, dimostrando una adeguata capacità di collegamento delle tematiche affrontate durante il corso.
Gradazione del voto finale:
- Preparazione su un numero molto limitato di argomenti affrontati nel corso e capacità di analisi che emerge solo con l’aiuto del docente, espressione in linguaggio complessivamente corretto → 18-19;
- Preparazione su un numero limitato di argomenti affrontati nel corso e capacità di analisi autonoma solo su questioni puramente esecutive, espressione in linguaggio corretto → 20-24;
- Preparazione su un numero ampio di argomenti affrontati nel corso, capacità di compiere scelte autonome di analisi critica, padronanza della terminologia specifica → 25-29;
- Preparazione sostanzialmente esaustiva sugli argomenti affrontati nel corso, capacità di compiere scelte autonome di analisi critica e di collegamento, piena padronanza della terminologia specifica e capacità di argomentazione e autoriflessione → 30-30L.
Prof. Michelini: the teacher assesses the students' preparation both during the course (evaluation of notes: 30% + discussion during lessons 20%), and during the exam (remaining 50%), which is oral.
For non-attending students, the oral exam will evaluate 100% of the preparation.
Lenci:
The exam is oral. The student must answer correctly at least three questions proposed by the examination board. The purpose of the oral exam is to verify the student's ability to apply his or her own knowledge and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections, demonstrating an adequate ability to make connections between the key themes addressed in the module.
Graduation of the final grade:
- Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the help of the teacher, expression in overall correct language → 18-19;
- Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and autonomous analysis skills only on purely executive issues, expression in correct language → 20-24;
- Knowledge of a large number of topics addressed in the course, ability to make independent choices of critical analysis, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;
- Substantially exhaustive preparation on the topics addressed in the course, ability to make independent choices of critical analysis and connections, full mastery of the specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflect → 30-30L.
