In una visione generale del museo, il Laboratorio si concentra quest’anno sull'ambito della mediazione museale e in particolare sul fondamentale elemento della accessibilità.
Al termine del corso, gli studenti avranno acquisito conoscenze di base in merito a:
- le diverse metodologie ed esperienze di mediazione e accessibilità;
- le fondamentali caratteristiche e le tipologie di apparati di mediazione museale;
- le tipologie e caratteristiche di attività, supporti e strumenti di accessibiltà museale.
Despite a general vision of the museum, this year the Workshop focuses on the field of museum mediation, understood in it main element of museum accessibility.
At the end of the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge about:
- the different methodologies and experiences of museum mediation and accessibility;
- the basic characteristics and types of museum communication equipment;
- the types and characteristics of activities, supports and instruments of museum accessibility.

Al termine del corso, gli studenti avranno sviluppato le seguenti capacità di lettura del museo:
- saper individuare e analizzare attività, supporti e apparati di mediazione;
- saper individuare e analizzare le diverse tipologie di destinatario cui il museo si rivolge;
- sapersi interrogare circa gli aspetti principali e le caratteristiche più importanti degli spazi museali, delle raccolte e delle opere in quanto oggetti dell’attività di mediazione.
Avranno inoltre maturato capacità di
- saper partecipare a discussioni;
- saper esporre in modo ordinato, efficace e sintetico gli aspetti analizzati autonomamente;
- saper rispondere in maniera coerente a domande e osservazioni dei colleghi.
At the end of the course, students will have developed the following reading skills of the museum:
- to identify and analyse activities, media and mediation equipment;
- to be able to identify and analyse the different types of recipients to whom the museum is addressed;
- know how to question the main aspects and the most important characteristics of museum spaces, collections and works as objects of mediation.
They will also have acquired
- to be able to participate in discussions;
- be able to present in an orderly, effective and concise manner the aspects analysed independently;
- be able to respond consistently to questions and comments from colleagues.

Al termine del Laboratorio lo studente avrà sviluppato i seguenti comportamenti:

- sviluppo delle modalità di presentazione efficace dei contenuti;
- seguire le presentazioni degli altri studenti e partecipare alla discussione.
At the end of the Laboratory the student will have developed the following behaviors:
- development of a conscious visit to museums;
- development of interaction and teamwork;
- development of methods for the effective presentation of content;
- follow the presentations of the other students and participate in the discussion.

Il Laboratorio si rivolge principalmente a chi nel triennio ha sostenuti esami (Storia del collezionismo e del museo, Comunicazione museale o simili) o svolto esperienze (Laboratorio Museia, tirocini ecc) in ambito museale.
The Laboratory is aimed mainly at those who have taken exams in the three years (History of collecting and museum, Museum communication or similar) or carried out experiences (Museia Laboratory, internships etc.) in the museum.

Il Laboratorio prevede una forte interazione tra docenti e studenti, con osservazioni e riflessioni individuali e di gruppo, confronti e discussioni in aula e in museo.
Si svolgeranno visite in musei del territorio, in particolare nei Musei di Empoli (https://www.empolimusei.it/) assunti come caso di studio per il loro recente lavoro di progettazione di strumenti di mediazione e accessibilità (brochure, pannelli, schede grafico-narrative, video LIS per non udenti, videodescrizioni e pannelli tattili per non vedenti, schede in Easy to read e in CAA per persone con disabilità cognitive ecc.), a cui il Laboratorio MUSEIA del Dipartimento ha collaborato (https://museia.cfs.unipi.it/Progetti/collaborazione-prodotti-accessibilita-musei-del-vetro-e-della-collegiata-empoli/).
Il lavoro autonomo degli studenti, individuale o in gruppo di max 3 persone, consiste nella individuazione, sviluppo e presentazione orale durante il Seminario finale o di una analisi di un prodotto di mediazione museale, tratto dal caso di studio o da altro museo, o di un prodotto originale di mediazione museale.
Per le sue caratteristiche didattiche, la frequenza al Laboratorio è obbligatoria (assenza massima di 3 ore su 12, compresi ritardi e uscite in anticipo superiori ai 15 minuti).
The Laboratory provides a strong interaction between teachers and students, with individual and group observations and reflections, comparisons and discussions in the classroom and in the museum.
Visits will take place in museums of the territory, in particular in the Museums of Empoli (https://www.empolimusei.it/) taken as a case study for their recent work of designing tools of mediation and accessibility (brochures, panels, graphic-narrative cards, LIS videos for the deaf, video descriptions and tactile panels for the blind, cards in Easy to read and in CAA for people with cognitive disabilities, etc.), to which the MUSEIA Laboratory of the Department has collaborated (https://museia.cfs.unipi.it/Progetti/collaborazione-prodotti-accessibilita-musei-del-vetro-e-della-collegiata-empoli/).
The autonomous work of students, individual or in a group of max 3 people, consists in the identification, development and oral presentation during the final seminar or an analysis of a product of museum mediation, taken from the case study or other museum, or an original product of museum mediation.
Due to its teaching characteristics, attendance at the Laboratory is compulsory (maximum absence of 3 hours out of 12, including delays and early departures of more than 15 minutes).
Il Laboratorio di Museologia e museografia (12 ore accademiche, 1 cfu), attivato quest’anno per la 1° volta, ha per titolo Il sistema-museo: l'accessibilità.
E’ tenuto in co-docenza dalla prof. Antonella Gioli e dalla dott.ssa Sara Bruni, assegnista di ricerca del progetto PA.CO.net – Patrimoni e Comunità in rete. Progetto per nuove pratiche culturali partecipative a Empoli (https://museia.cfs.unipi.it/Progetti/progetto-pa-co-net-patrimoni-e-comunita-in-rete-progetto-per-nuove-pratiche-culturali-partecipative-a-empoli/).
Oltre che con il suddetto Progetto, il corso si svolge in collaborazione con i musei di Empoli, individuati come caso di studio per la loro recente progettazione e realizzazione di apparati di comunicazione e accessibilità, realizzati in partenariato con il Laboratorio Museia del Dipartimento (https://museia.cfs.unipi.it/Progetti/collaborazione-prodotti-accessibilita-musei-del-vetro-e-della-collegiata-empoli/)
Il Laboratorio si articola in 4 lezioni secondo il seguente programma di massima:
- 1° incontro in aula: introduzione al Laboratorio, illustrazione modello e tempi per il lavoro autonomo; concetti di base di educazione, comunicazione e accessibilità museale (3 h accademiche).
- 2° e 3° incontri nei musei di Empoli: visita e analisi di strumenti di accessibilità (3 h accademiche ciascuno).
- 4° incontro in aula: Seminario finale degli studenti in aula con esposizione, individuale o in gruppo (max 3 componenti), del lavoro e discussione (3 h accademiche).
Possono partecipare al Laboratorio un massimo di 12 studenti iscritti a Storia e Forme delle Arti Visive, dello Spettacolo e dei Nuovi Media; partecipanti di altri Corsi di laurea verranno accettati solo in caso di disponibilità di posti.

The Laboratory of Museology and museography (12 academic hours, 1 cfu), activated this year for the 1st time, is entitled The system-museum: accessibility.
It is co-taught by Prof. Antonella Gioli and Dr Sara Bruni, research fellow of the project PA.CO.net - Patrimoni e Comunità in rete. Project for new participatory cultural practices in Empoli (https:///museia.cfs.unipi.it/Project/project-co-net-heritage-e-community-in-network-project-for-new-cultural-practices-participative-at-time/).
In addition to the aforementioned Project, the course takes place in collaboration with the museums of Empoli, identified as a case study for their recent design and construction of communication and accessibility equipment, realized in partnership with the Department’s Museum Laboratory (https:///museia.cfs.unipi.it/Projects/collaboration-productsi-accessibilita-musei-del-vetro-e-della-collegiata-empoli/)
The workshop is divided into 4 lessons according to the following program:
- First meeting in the classroom: introduction to the Laboratory, model illustration and timing for self-employment; basic concepts of education, communication and museum accessibility (3 h academic).
- Second and Third meetings in the museums of Empoli: visit and analysis of accessibility tools (3 academic hours each).
- Fourth meeting in the classroom: Final seminar of students in the classroom with exhibition, individual or in group (max 3 members), of work and discussion (3 academic hours).
A maximum of 12 students enrolled in History and Forms of Visual Arts, Entertainment and New Media can participate in the Workshop (participants of other Degree Programmes will be accepted only if places are available).

Il Laboratorio si svolgerà nel 2° semestre in date e orari che verranno indicati.
E' necessario iscriversi al Laboratorio inviando ENTRO IL 29 FEBBRAIO 2024 un email alla dott.ssa Sara Bruni (sara.bruni@cfs.unipi.it) con oggetto “Richiesta iscrizione Laboratorio di Museologia e Museografia”.
Nella mail andranno indicati:
- Corso di laurea e anno
- eventuali esami di ambito museale sostenuti o insegnamenti seguiti/da seguire ("Storia del collezionismo e del museo", "Comunicazione museale", "Museologia e museografia" e simili)
In caso di richieste superiori al numero massimo di 12, verrà fatta una selezione sulla base di
- Corso di laurea (priorità a SAVS)
- esami o frequenza di insegnamenti di ambito museale (priorità a chi li avesse sostenuti/seguiti)
A tutti verrà data risposta, positiva o negativa, entro il 22 gennaio.

The Laboratory will take place in the 2nd semester on dates and times that will be indicated.
It is necessary to enroll in the Laboratory by sending FROM 8 to 18 JANUARY an email to Dr Sara Bruni (sara.bruni@cfs.unipi.it) with the subject "Request registration Laboratory of Museology and Museography".
In the email should indicate:
- Degree course and year
- any museum examinations or courses taken/to be followed ("History of Collecting and Museum", "Museum Communication", "Museology and Museography" and similar)
In case of requests exceeding the maximum number of 12, a selection will be made on the basis of
- Degree programme (priority at SAVS)
- examinations or attendance of teaching in museums (priority to those who had taken/followed them)
Everyone will be answered, yes or no, by 22 January.
